Big news from Bridgeport In the Know ! !

This Bridgeport In The Know Yahoo Group is now an official web site ! The web address is www/bridgeportintheknow.com! Check it out !

When I started this discussion group here on Yahoo Groups in May 2007, it was mainly to give my city neighbors a chance to talk with one another and exchange information. I gradually added hundreds of Bridgeport web site links to help everyone find even more city information, and I a Bridgeport events calendar so we would know what was happening in our city.

Now the information can no longer be contained in a simple Yahoo Group, and it has become a full-fledged web site.

Another important reason to make it a web site is that potential readers no longer need to register with Yahoo which has limited our audience. At our new internet location, the information is easily and openly available to everyone.

The 450 Bridgeport links and the comprehensive Bridgeport calendar are now on the new web site. A new feature of the web site is an irreverent blog by our group member Mr. Barnum, a uniquely funny and satirical view of our town.

The new site has discussion forums just like this one. You do not need to register to read the chat on the new site, but you will need to register to participate in the discussion. You will find simple instructions on how to do that by clicking on the button "How to use forums" on the upper right corner.

This Yahoo group site will remain posted here on Yahoo, but in a couple of days will no longer be active nor interactive. The new dot com web site will link back to this Yahoo group so that readers can view the old discussion archives.
