This listserve is a service of the International Brecht Society (IBS), a membership organization that supports scholars, critics, students, and theater people interested in the works of Bertolt Brecht and more general issues concerning the relationship between politics and culture. The IBS publishes the journal "Communications" and the "Brecht Yearbook"; it also sponsors international symposia every 3-5 years.
