Named after our discontinued print newsletter, a gentle & informal forum on themes relating to spirituality, meditation and mindfulness, and chronic illness. Our main inspiration is Buddhist, our ethos interfaith. We share and discuss quotations, resources and personal experiences and especially welcome beginners.
WHO'S IT FOR?
Anyone whose ill health isolates them from spiritual community; and those learning meditation, struggling without anyone to share it with. Users also include carers, those who have recovered, friends of Stillpoint and anyone interested in our themes.
SOMETHING TO SHARE?
Don't be shy! Posts are moderated for the newcomers and then unmoderated once we know you're not a spammer!
SUPPORT & FRIENDSHIP
We're sorry we can't offer individual support, being volunteers sharing our journey rather than ‘experts’. We do, however, pass on lots of tips and contacts on the web site - from ideas on how to meditate when bedbound, to Buddhist publishers and organisations. We also send out metta every monday - check out the monday metta page on the web site for info - and you will get a monthly reminder email.
CAN YOU HELP SOMEONE ELSE TO REACH US?
Many who are unwell cannot access the internet or a spiritual teacher. If you know someone in this situation who shares our interests, please help by printing our material for them. They can also text their message or leave a voicemail which will be emailed to the group. Contact 077 4848 5516.
If you have a little time & energy to spare, consider becomig a regional link volunteer' helping to distribute information to patient or practice groups you're part of.
