"Bornova İçin Elele" Grubu, Ege Üniversitesi'nin "Halkın Üniversitesi" çalışmaları kapsamında, "Bornova'nın Kent Yaşamının İyileştirilmesi" çalışma grubu tarafından oluşturulmuştur. Grubun amacı, Bornova'da yaşayan bireylerde kentlilik bilincini harekete geçirmek; kent yaşamının iyileştirilmesi konusunda onları daha etkin kılmak; Bornova ile ilgili görüş ve düşüncelerini paylaşabilecekleri bir platform oluşturabilmek; projeler üretmeleri ve hayata geçirmelerini teşvik etmektir.
