TO JUMBLE
To jumble all forms of our dreams,
we waken from sleeps that wore gleams
inherently ready
to stay both unsteady
and likely to build wondrous steams.

Is that analysis? -- bh

RECIDIVISM(S)
Recidivism is up. The jails are overcrowded. The inmates
are doctors, lawyers, and other chiefs. A grudge is felt. Gradual
weedings are the order of the day. Law and order must be both
maintained and encouraged. Are the prisons too barred; are the meals
too good; do intramural televisions have sufficient forms of
wattage? (What's happening?)

THE BIBLE is the answer to where the following came from:
Specifically the "Book of the Song of Songs",
Chapter 7, verses 2 and 3 (King James Version mainly)
-------------------
"The joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a
cunning workman. Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not
liquor."

(~Big Wheelie aside~) JOINTS? of her THIGHS? Now that must be SOME
woman!! ROFL

"Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed
among the lilies,".

"Awake, O north wind," ... "and come, thou south; blow upon my
garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come
into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits."

"By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth," ... "I sought
him, but I found him not."
--------------------

"How did this stuff wind up in the Holy Bible? -- a question Biblical
scholars have been working on for hundreds, even thousands, of years.
Various ruses have been used, including the argument that the Song of
Songs was in fact the Song of Solomon. The other strategy has been
the centuries-long interpretation of the Song of Songs as some kind
of allegory for the love between God and Israel, or between Christ
and the Church." - unknown

Congratulations!!! BUNNYANNE you win the Golden Carrot Award being
the first to answer correctly. A forty pounder (40 oz Imperial) of
Captain Morgan's Dark will be on its way to you shortly, I'm sure. LOL

HOWEVER, JERI placed a close second (by a HARE so to speak) of only
ten minutes difference in posting time it seems. Jeri,
Congratulations you win The Golden Avacado Award. Your complimentary
stuffed Chee-hooa-hooa is in the mail. LOL

** Great link you posted Jeri -- interesting look at the Song of
Songs from a human / psychological / application standpoint.

Subject: Happy CANADA DAY!!! -- Canuckies everywhere
bigwheelie54m

To ALL Canadians here at Boomers -- Bunny Anne from Toranna the Good,
expat Leslie Tribblehead in sunny Sarasota, and former Canadian
resident and teen gadabout Wings of Blue lolling on the beach there
in Silicon Valley -- plus of course all you other WANNABIE CANUCKIES
out there (you know WHO you are, eh!)-- hope you're having a great
day, wherever you are, whatever you're doing.

In tribute to Canukies everywhere, and for the rest of our American
members here at Boomers as well, I've got a song / audio file that
will help explain our distinctly Canadian culture, roots, nature and
sensibilities.

After all, any country that has a Beaver as its national symbol
likely could use some explaining. ROFLMBO

I won't buy that.. and if Rob does...well what can I say... there's
one born every minute.

Yahoo can be blamed on lots of stuff, but you clearly replied to MY
posting 13 minutes after mine!
I KNEW the answer....I didn't go searching on the web...

If King Solomon were here right now, he'd settle this once and for
all, he'd take Rob and cut him in half for not clearly declaring the
one and only winner....being unable to make a FIRM STAND!!!
And since I definitly want a man with a firm stand, he can cut ROB
right down the middle with my blessing and toss the spoils to the
vultures!

Now, I want King Solomon's golden carrot, if you please. none other
will do.
Jeri gets the boobie prize..er.. should I say "two young roes that
are twins, which feed among the lilies".

The great purple bunny has spoken!

Now Jeri, just where are you when all this spam gets posted? no
where. but reap in the rewards off of bunnies, and ...... *ahem*...
As for the Bunny's reward, I'm keeping the King's Carrot all to
myself. No sharing, no indeedy! LOL
mine all mine!
Great hair too. or is that hare?

Jeri gets the boobie prize..er.. should I say "two young roes that
are twins, which feed among the lilies".

The great purple bunny has spoken!

Now Jeri, just where are you when all this spam gets posted? no
where. but reap in the rewards off of bunnies, and ...... *ahem*...
As for the Bunny's reward, I'm keeping the King's Carrot all to
myself. No sharing, no indeedy! LOL
mine all mine!
Great hair too. or is that hare?

"Chad Allan and the Reflections / Startones "

Wheelie obviously needs a Guess Who history lesson, as only a native
Winnipeger can give one.

In the beginning, there was Al and The Silvertones. "Al" was Alan
Kowbel. Ol' Al decided to change his name to Chad Allan, and his
band's name to Chad Allan and The Reflections. For reasons known
only to Al, shortly thereafter he re-dubbed the band Chad Allan and
The Expressions. He had the most valuable commodity any band could
have - Randy Bachman.

Meanwhile, on the other side of town, an astonishingly talented kid
named Burton Cummings was singing his heart out and playing a mean
upright piano with a band called The Devrons. A very good high
school band, by the way.

Chad Allan raided the Devrons for Burton and another fellow named
Bruce Decker (who passed on a few years ago), and The Expressions
morphed into the Guess Who. They got that name by pure accident,
BTW. When cutting their first 45, they thought it would be cute to
make the local fans guess who they were - and had "Guess Who?"
printed on the label.

The Guess Who really took off locally, and across Canada. Burton,
Randy and Chad began to have "creative differences," and ol' Chad
(apparently believing HE was the one with talent) left for a solo
career which immediately tanked.

The rest, as they say, is history. The Guess Who went on to be
hugely successful, outselling even The Beatles in (I think) 1969.

Let's not overlook a few other Canadians of our era who achieved
prominence in the field of entertainment ....

Dan Ayckroyd, Lorne Michaels, John Candy (RIP), Martin Short, Paul
Schaeffer, Andrea Martin, Catherine O'Hara, David Steinberg
(Winnipeg, BTW), Doug Henning (also Winnipeg - RIP).... oh heck, the
list would get far too long!

Some of the younger set... Alannis Morissette, Crash Test Dummies
(Winnipeg), Bare Naked Ladies, Jim Carrey, Celine Dion (UGH! I'm
gonna stop there)

Big Wheelie is shaking in his drawers. Sounds like we be talking
drawing and quartering here -- hmmm -- that thought just gave Big
Wheelie a sharp pain right in the center of his forehead. Either
that, or he has his Fruit-of-the-Looms on TOO tight, or backwards, or
BOTH!

It's pretty obvious that certain paricipants didn't read the fine
print -- heck, be a wonder if they read ANY of the print AT ALL!! I
just bet Regis Philbin doesn't have these problems.

Poor ol' Big Wheelie, he runs one, JUST ONE innocent educational quiz
-- strictly above board, fair, top prizes, even had Arthur Anderson &
Co. audit and tally the reply posts -- does anyone say "gee, Big
Wheelie THAT WAS FUN!!"??

Ohhhh noooooo ... just rude references to his ancestry, and talk of
slicing and dicing him just like a chopped liver polk salad, or
something.

Actually, Bunny and Tribb you both seem to fit the description of
Polk Salad Annie's mother -- hmmm -- more I think about it yes,

The ol' Captain, and Sol baby are NOT going to be happy when they

They'll likely recommend that you both be banned from future

All right you PRE VERT!!!!! I shoulda known that I couldn't mention
the word BEAVER in a post to you. DAMN.... (he he he) I thought you
would let that one go by, but no! My painting is taking shape. I
also went to a life drawing class today and have some nudes in my
binder. Unfortunately, they are all male, so you would not want me
to post one.

Tomorrow I am putting away the Canadian Tire swing, corking the
Canadian Club, and furling (GREAT WORD, AND POSSIBLY A TOPIC FOR
BRUCE BEACH) my Canadian flag. Getting out the Stars and STripes,
mixing up some Margaritas, switching from French to Spanish,
uncorking the Southern Comfort, and getting ready for the fourth.
Gee, it is great to be BI. Well.....BI-NATIONAL that is.

Rob, don't even GO THERE. Loved the list of Canadian artists....
don't forget....um...... the Kensington Market, the Ugly Ducklings,
the Paupers, the Mynah Byrd, the Upper Crust, the El Patio...... and
of course for Bunny....ROCHDALE!!!! oh, gee, it's been too long.

Interesting Heather, that you have a Canadian connection. When did
your Dad emigrate to Canada, or move to the U.S.? I assume you were
born there after he moved, versus in Canada?

Nice country there in your area. You said about a 100 miles from the
border -- in the Olympia area possibly?

Well, that's CANADA DAY over for another year -- guess activities
will kick into high gear down there shortly for your July 4th. Albeit
this year with a bit of trepidation relative to purported threats of
problems etc. Hopefully not, to say the least -- have good one!

Take care,
Rob

                     * Of The Star Spangled Banner *

Oh thus be it ever when all men shall stand

Between our loved homes and war's desolation

Blessed with beauty and peace may our heavenly lands

See the light up above and become more than nations

But if battle we must for the cause that is just

May we choose as standards those that all men can trust

Then the Star Spangled Banner in honor shall wave

Among the lands of the free and the home of the brave
