OK, So;
I left Shamrock Texas and headed out for Tucumcari New Mexico. When I go to
Tucumcari, I decided to go on to Santa Rosa New Mexico where there was an RV
Park I had stayed at twice before and really liked.
About 5 miles past Tucumcari I ran into road construction. One of those
situations where one is driving an 8 foot wide rig and the construction lane is
8 foot 1 inch wide with barriers on both sides. After miles of that I was
thanking my karma I lived and didn't soil my undies.
I decided to stay 2 nights in Santa Rosa, just because I could not deal with the
idea that I might run into the same thing again tomorrow. I should be
"refurbished" by day after tomorrow to deal with any road hazards I encounter.
My next stop is Sky City RV in Acoma New Mexico. Henry is going to meet me there
and we will make one overnight stop in Az at Meteor Crater RV, then it's HOME!!!
Santa Rosa RV has great facilities and I will spend tomorrow doing laundry and
brining the trailer back to "ship-shape". They have a really neat dog hiking
trail here. The Trail head is marked by a very life-like cut out of a dog
silhouette. When Quinn saw it he got all rumbley and his hair was on end. Once
he got close enough to the sign he immediately sniffed the sign's rear end. The
fact that there was no odor seemed to confuse him even more. Dolphin on the
other hand seemed embarrassed for Quinn and his gullability.......
