Hey all
SUNDAY
Ah the Twin Lakes Cat Fish Farm................ no shower, no bathroom, no
laundry, the free WIFI was apparently for rigs parked inside the restaurant. The
person who checks you in is also the cook, waitress and dishwasher at the fried
catfish restaurant, which was jam packed. (kinda like, gimme your money, now
figure it out for yourself). The numbers to the sites were posted AWAY from
where you drive by to find your site. No TV either.
anyway........... rolled outta there at 3am to make it thru Nashville before
traffic. All went well, easy drive. One major watershed event... I BACKED the
trailer out of the slot at cat fish. OOOEEEEE big time!!!
Enroute to Jackson Tenn. where my destination was Whispering Pines RV, I passed
an exit ramp for Bucksnort Tennessee. BUCKSNORT!!!!! (Josh, want me to send you
a homes for sale listing from there???) Also passed Birdsong and Mouse Tail.
Hey, I LOVE AMERICA!!!!
MONDAY
Looks like I will be here in Jackson Tenn. for the rest of the week. There is an
RV repair place here and I need to get a bunch of stuff fixed, so I will take
the RV in on Wednesday and be at a hotel Wed/Thur/Fri and maybe Saturday.
The place I am now is very small but comfortable and the WIFI works. Has laundry
but no showers, so I will drive the truck a few exit ramps West where there is a
"travel plaza". That means showers. You pay for the shower and towels. Did it
once before back in 2005 and it's pretty nice. I have a TON of stuff stored in
the trailer shower, and the water pressure is suitable only for men, so that's
why I'm driving to get to a shower.
Where I am parked at Whispering Pines I look out on open space and a field with
ankle high, easter-grass-green, grass. It's very pretty.
Will let you know how it goes, don't know if hotel has wifi.
