This is a 1-4-1 DAK Group that was started so that members could continue to enjoy the art of rubber stamping and sending and receiving DAKs, swaps and all the other fun that this group provides. 1-4-1 DAKs require a card to be made in return for a card that has been received. Our group is predominately made up of Australians and New Zealanders but we do have a few international members to our family. Please consider this when requesting membership as we are aware postage may be an issue for some people.
So join in and have some fun, but remember this is a very active group. We are very friendly and you will never lack for information, advice or just a good yarn as non stamping topics are permitted.
The card featured on our homepage this month is the winning entry in our COTM competition. The theme for June was Trees or Leaves and the winner is Heather Askitis with her lovely card. Thanks Heather.
We have lots of monthly non-compulsory swaps happening in the group and also hold a monthly sketch challenge for those that have the time and wish to participate more.
The sketch challenged is uploaded at the beginning of each month as an attachment in group messages but is also found here http://boomerangsketchchallenge.blogspot.com (Unfortunately it cannot be made a clickable link so just highlight the website address, select copy, and then paste into your browser. It might be an idea to add it to your favourites so you can visit easier). All entries are included into a slide show on the sketchsite which needs Flash to run on your computer. To participate in the Sketch Challenge you need to create a card following the sketch and then email it to the Sketch Challenge Co-ordinator before the end of the month. The added bonus to this challenge is that one lucky participant in drawn at the end of the month and one card from each participant is then sent to the winner.
