In memory of Marcie.....Our group is dedicated to dogs with osteosarcoma & other bone cancers and to their guardians who fight bravely. It is a place for support, comfort, guidance, learning, encouragement and hope. It was inspired by Rowdy Roddy Piper, a Rottweiler who lost his fight to bone cancer on September 2, 2004.

This week's Hero is Kellie's Kale: "General Kale was born May 1999. Sweet Kale was special from the very beginning, wanting to please us was so important to him. He loves to chew on BIG bones and lean close to you. A gentle giant, Kale’s joy is being close to the ones he loves and enjoying peaceful moments together. He started limping in May 2008. Our vet diagnosed bone cancer. After some difficult moments agonizing over what to do, we opted for amputation followed by chemotherapy. Today Kale is happy and strong. His quality of life is excellent. We don’t know how much time we will have with our sweet boy, but we will treasure every minute."
