Welcome to the Boer Goats discussion group! This is a family-friendly group that promotes the Boer goat through educational online discussions. All aspects of goat ownership are discussed.

Our aim is to maintain an educational forum for everyone who shares our interest in these magnificent animals. All members are encouraged to ask questions and be actively involved in our discussions. We welcome your goat anecdotes -- tasteful humor is always welcome.

We have a few simple guidelines which are time-tested in keeping our group fun and friendly. Members who refuse to follow these guideline will be dropped from the group. They are:

1. SPAMMING (using the list for mass marketing) is not allowed.
2. Crossposting causes confusion(posting to boergoats and other groups simultaneously)and is not permitted.
3. Solicitation for charitable causes must have prior approval of an owner.
4. Arguing, name-calling, gossiping and profanity - not needed nor wanted on Boergoats.
5. Marketing is done on Fridays by U.S. time zones. Please post your goats and goat-related items for sale or trade.(This keeps us from being bombarded by the same sales pitches every day.) We also have a sale board at Goatworld.com.
6. Advertising for other discussion groups is not allowed.
7. Anyone who harasses other members will be permanently unsubscribed. We are a Golden Rule discussion group.
8. Discussions of the merits of the ABGA, International Boer Goat Association, or The IBGA goat registries are encouraged. Arguments are not allowed.
9. Please do not foward junk email.
