My understanding is that modern marine design did not really start until the second half of the 19th century, and even well into the 20th century many craft

The bunk is too big for the hull? LOL! That is one of the advantages of 3D software visualization -- when the bunk goes through the hull side, then you know

I am refurbishing a 1972 Wayfarer: new centerboard and spreaders, redo the teak, new floorboards. Hope to be sailing it in another week or two. My son (15 yrs)
