You may have read this message last week!! But today, I ve attached the picture of the little kid there!!
I ve copied again the message for those who read it for the first time.
Assalam alaikom dear brother & sisters,
I am honored to write to you today for a
humane deed that I hope you can help me with.
In fact, I dared writing to you because I know that there is good still in this earth..so please let me share this with you.
Because I had no alternative & I feel that great believers always offer help for the love of ALLAH s.w.t; seeking reward & jaza' a from ALLAH the ALMIGHTY..
The problem is that 2 months ago, I started looking for donors to help a kid of 12 years old, suffering from bone cancer..I succeded in contacting an American woman who donate funds to associations to help needy people..first she said that they coordinate with associations & not individuals, but when she knew about the miserable status the kids' family is undergoing, she decided to look for someone who
would help "khalid" get his treatment.Alhamdu lilah, she did a great
job..& supplied him with 'two month or so' treatment..but now, I have no response from her about any new donor up to now..& what had made me so worried & write for your help is that my parents paid a short visit to the family of that kid..& when back they said that
the kid is laying on his bed like if he is going to die & his mother
stated that he refuses to eat & this starts one week ago..worse than this; he is now short of medication..
Now I implore you that if you have anyone who can sponsor his medication or help him with whatever they can to save this poor child,
who was born in a poor family with a jobless father & house wife mother, please consider him as a son, a brother and I hope that we all do something to bring the smile back to his parents..he is the only son they have & they are losing him.
Please dont hesitate in asking for any information you need, I will do my best to provide you with as soon as possible..so that you can have a wider knowledge about the kids' case.
I am praying that I will hear a positive answer from your
Opinions of ..Famous Non-Muslims Regarding the Qur'an:
"It soon attracts, astounds, and in the end enforces our reverence... Its style, in accordance with its contents and aim is stern, grand, terrible - ever and always, truly sublime - So, this book will go on exercising through all ages a most potent influence." - Goethe - quoted in T. P. Huges "Dictionary of Islam", p. 526
"The Koran (Qur'an) admittedly occupies an important position among the great religious books of the world. Though it is the youngest of the epoch making works belonging to this class of literature, it yields to hardly any in the wonderful effect which it has produced on large masses of men. It has created an all but new phase of human thought and a fresh type of character. It first transformed a number of heterogeneous desert tribes of the Arabian peninsula into a nation of heroes, and then proceeded to create the vast politico-religious organizations of Muslims world wide which are one of the great forces with which Europe and the East have to reckon with today." - G. Maragliouth in his Introduction to J. M. Rodwells - 'The Koran", New York - 'Everyman's Library, 1977, p VII
"A work, then, which calls forth so powerful and seemingly incompatible emotions even in the distant reader - distant as to time, and still more so as mental development - a work which not only conquers the repugnance which he may begin its perusal, but changes this adverse feeling into astonishment and admiration, such a work must be a wonderful production... indeed and a problem of the highest interest to every thoughtful observer of the destinies of mankind." - Dr Steingass quoted in T. P. Hughes - "Dictionary of Islam", pp 256-257
"It is impossible that Muhammad, peace be upon him, authored the Qur'an. How could a man, from being illiterate, become the most important author, in terms of literary merits, in the whole of Arabic literature?
How could he then pronounce truths of a scientific nature that no other human-being could possibly have developed at that time, an all this without once making the slightest error in his pronouncement on the subject?" -Dr. Maurice Bucaille - author of "The Bible, the Qur'an and Science" 1978, p. 125
"Here, therefore, its merits as a literary production should perhaps not be measured by some preconceived maxims of subjective and aesthetic taste, but by the effects which it produced in Muhammad's contemporaries and fellow countrymen. If it spoke so powerfully and convincingly to the hearts of his hearers as to weld hitherto centrifugal and antagonistic elements into one compact and well organized body, animated by ideas far beyond those which had until now ruled the Arabian mind, then its eloquence was perfect, simply
because it created a civilized nation out of savage tribes, and shot a fresh woof into the old warp of history" - Dr. Steingass, quoted in Hughes' Dictionary of Islam p. 528
"In making the present attempt to improve on the performance of my predecessors, and to produce something which might be accepted as echoing however faintly the sublime rhetoric of the Arabic Koran, I have been at pain to study the intricate and richly varied rhythms which - apart from the message itself - constitute the Koran's undeniable claim to rank amongst the greatest literary masterpieces of mankind.. This very characteristic feature - 'that inimitable symphony', as the believing Pickthall described his Holy Book, 'the very sounds of which move men to tears and ecstasy' has been almost totally ignored by previous translators; it is therefore not surprising that what they have wrought sounds dull and flat indeed in comparison with the splendidly decorated original.." - Arthur J. Arberry - "The Koran Interpreted", London: Oxford University Press . 1964, p.
x.
"A totally objective examination of it [the Qur'an] in the light of modern knowledge leads us to recognize the agreement between the two, as has been already noted on repeated occasions. It makes us deem it quite unthinkable for a man of Muhammad's time to have been the author of such statements, on account of the state of knowledge in his day. Such considerations are part of what gives the Qur'anic Revelation its unique place, and forces the impartial scientist to admit his inability to provide and explanation which calls solely upon materialistic reasoning." - Dr. Maurice Bucaille in his book: "The Bible, The Qur'an and Science" -1981, p. 18

When retiring to his bed every night, the Prophet (S) would hold his palms together, spit in them, recite the last three chapters of the Qur’aan and then wipe over his entire body as much as possible with his hands, beginning with his head and face and then all parts of the body6, he would do this three times.’
The Prophet (S) also said: ‘When you are about to sleep recite aayat-ul-kursiyy till the end of the verse for there will remain over you a protection from Allaah and no devil will draw near to you until morning.’
The Prophet (S) also said: ‘Whoever recites the last two verses of Suurah Al-Baqarah at night, those two verses shall be sufficient for him.’
[Al-Baqarah (2): 285-286]
‘If one of you rises from his bed and then returns to it he should dust it with the edge of his garment three times for he does not know what has occurred in his absence and when he lies down he should supplicate:
‘In Your name my Lord, I lie down and I in Your name I rise, so if You should take my soul then have mercy upon it, and if You should return my soul then protect it in the manner You do so with Your righteous servants.’
‘O Allaah, verily You have created my soul and You shall take it’s life, to You belongs it’s life and death. If You should keep my soul alive then protect it, and if You should take its life then forgive it. O Allaah, I ask You to grant me good health.’
The Prophet (S) would place his right hand under his cheek when about to sleep and supplicate:
‘O Allaah, protect me from Your punishment on the day Your servants are resurrected.’ (three times)
‘In Your name O Allaah, I live and die.’
‘Shall I not direct you both to something better than a servant? When you go to bed say:
(i)
‘How Perfect Allaah is.’ (thirty-three times)
(ii)
‘All praise is for Allaah.’ (thirty-three times)
(iii)
‘Allaah is the greatest.’ (thirty-four times)
…for that is indeed better for you both than a servant.’
‘O Allaah, Lord of the seven heavens and the exalted throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, Splitter of the seed and the date stone, Revealer of the Towraah, the Injeel and the Furqaan, I take refuge in You from the evil of all things You shall seize by the forelock. O Allaah, You are The First so there is nothing before You and You are The Last so there is nothing after You. You are Ath-Thaahir so there is nothing above You and You are Al-Baatin so there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debt for us and spare us from poverty.’
‘All praise is for Allaah, Who fed us and gave us drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them.’
‘O Allaah, Knower of the seen and the unseen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim.’
‘The Prophet (S) never used to sleep until he had recited Suurah As-Sajdah and Suurah Al-Mulk.’
‘If you take to your bed, then perform ablution, lie on your right side and then supplicate:
‘O Allaah, I submit my soul unto You, and I entrust my affair unto You, and I turn my face towards You, and I totally rely on You, in hope and fear of You. Verily there is no refuge nor safe haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.’
…If you then die, you will die upon the fitrah.’

"We can't keep them from reading their Quran and knowing the truth."
"We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their Allah and his messenger Muhammad."
"Once they gain that connection with Allah, our power over them is broken."
"So let them go to their Mosques; let them have their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with Allah and his messnger Muhammad."
"This is what I want you to do," said the devil:
"Distract them from gaining hold of their Allah and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"
"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted.
"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds," he answered.
"Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow."
"Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles."
"Keep them from spending time with their children."
"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!"
"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice."
"Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive." "To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays music constantly."
"This will jam their minds and break that union with Allah and his messenger Muhammad."
"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers."
"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."
"Invade their driving moments with billboards."
"Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes."
"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll become dissatisfied with their wives. "
"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night."
Give them headaches too!
"If they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere."
"That will fragment their families quickly!"
"Give them story books to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Salat."
"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on Allah's creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead. "Keep them busy, busy, busy!"
"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences."
"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Allah."
"Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause."
"It will work!" "It will work!"
It was quite a plan!
The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Muslims everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.
Having little time for their Allah or their families.
Having no time to tell others about the power of Allah and his messenger Muhammad to change lives.
I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?
You be the judge!!!!!
Does "BUSY" mean:

S-atan's
Y-oke?
Please pass this on, if you aren't too BUSY!

Both the Qur'an and Hadith contain descriptions of Paradise as being filled with green:
These it is for whom are gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow; ornaments shall be given to them therein of bracelets of gold, and they shall wear green robes of fine silk and thick silk brocade interwoven with gold, reclining therein on raised couches; excellent, the recompense; and goodly, the resting place (18:31).
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets (55:76).
Accounts in the Hadith mention that Prophet Muhammad's (SAW) turban was green as well as the flag of Islam. Even the Encyclopedia Britannica notes that, in some countries, a green turban usually denotes a "Sharif" or descendant of the Prophet (SAW).
While many people may brush away any significance of the mention of colors in the Qur'an, the colors that we choose are actually an important part of our lives. The Qur'an (30.22) gives us a hint of this when it says, "And one of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your tongues and colors; most surely, there are signs in this for the learned."
One of the first things to be noticed upon entering mosques anywhere around the world is the green and blue surroundings. The mosques in Iran are famous for their blue tile work. In Saudi Arabia, blue and green stained glass is used in the more modern mosque designs while in the deserts of Egypt, some mosques are painted
completely blue or green and are decked in green neon at night time. In Istanbul, the most famous mosque is even called The Blue Mosque.
Although the colors of these mosques were chosen for their religious significance or their symbolic meanings in ancient cultures, over time modern science has found that there is a sound basis for the choices of blue and green in places of worship.
In the Encyclopedia of Healing Therapies, Anne Woodham and David Peters relate that these colors have contained significant meaning for people since prehistoric times. In ancient history, green was the color of growth, and blue was thought of as the color of the sky and of heavenly peace.
An Indian named Dinshah P. Ghadiali is the first scientist to be documented as having tried to explain the power of color. He claimed that the secret to the power of colors lay in the fact that they transmit vibrations that in turn transmit certain moods as well as
healing.
Modern scientists have built on this theory, and have discovered that the sun's rays form an entire spectrum of electromagnetic radiation that forms visible white light. Light travels in wavelengths, and its different wavelengths are perceived as different colors. Each color also has a certain frequency at which it vibrates. When blind people claim to "see" color, what they really perceive is these various wavelengths and frequencies.
This is also what sighted people perceive on a subconscious level when they are affected by colors. In fact, many scientists believe that this perception can occur within the deepest levels of the interior of the body.
While doctors often agree on the psychological effects of color therapy, they typically ignore the physical effects. However, the science of color therapy has been exploring both psychological and physical effects of different colors. Color therapists believe that touching or being exposed to a
color can provide the same benefits as looking at it since colors work according to their vibrational wavelengths rather than the brain's interpretation of that color. The faster the vibration, the warmer the color; the slower the vibration, the cooler the color. Research into the effects of color has shown that people who are blind from birth can learn to differentiate colors through their fingertips by picking up on the vibration of the different colors.
Practitioners of color therapy also believe that the cells and organs of the body have vibrational frequencies that can be affected by certain vibrational frequencies in colors.
Professor J. L. Morton of the University of Hawaii's School of Architecture who also serves as an international lecturer and consultant for companies such as Eastman Kodak reports conclusively that the skin CAN see color. She states that 4,000 years ago, the Egyptians built healing temples of light because they had learned that bathing
patients in specific colors of light produced varying effects. Noted neuropsychologist, Kurt Goldstein, confirmed this fact. In his modern classic, The Organism, he notes that stimulation of the skin by different colors leads to different effects. He states, "It is probably not a false statement to say that a specific color stimulation is accompanied by a specific response pattern of the entire organism."
Because of the findings of such research in color therapy, many studies have been done to demonstrate which colors produce which effects on the human psyche. Many people are familiar with studies conducted in 1948 in West Germany that showed that the use of the colors yellow, orange, and red in the classroom raises student IQ levels. Further studies in the U.S. in 1973 showed that red light causes the blood pressure and heart rate to rise and that orange causes hunger pangs; hence, many restaurants use the color orange in their decor and their dishes to
stimulate appetite. Many advertisers also use the theories of color therapy to promote their products.
Blue and green are good choices for promoting a "spiritual life." Blue is said to correspond to the throat of a person and green to the heart. Coincidentally, these are the two tools we use to worship when we recite and pray.
Blue has been shown in studies (U.S., 1973) to lower blood pressure and heart rate; decrease hunger; and inspire relaxation, peace, and tranquility. It is often used in color therapy to treat insomnia, an overactive thyroid, and panic attacks.
Blue is the color of honesty and loyalty. In fact, in the field of web design, blue is thought to be "the safest global color." For Jews, it indicates holiness; in the Middle East, it signifies protection; for Hindus, it has a religious significance through Krishna; in China, it is associated with immortality and in Colombia, it is associated with cleanliness.
In The
Ultimate Healing System, Donald Lepore says that he uses blue when he lectures because it energizes the vocal area, and causes people to respect what he says more. This may be one of the reasons that a 'khutbah' given in a blue mosque is so much more effective than one recorded on cassette tape.
Blue is also noble, as in the concept of "Blue Blood." Mary (mother of Prophet Isa - AS) is usually portrayed in Christian icons as wearing a blue veil or robe for this is the color of serenity, perfection, and protection. It is also a cooling color that is good for wearing on very hot days, which may explain some of its significance in the Middle East. Physically, it is good for patients suffering from shock, inflammation, and nervous breakdowns. Blue helps control feverish conditions, stop bleeding, with nervous irritations, and with burns. However, too much blue can leave a person cold, depressed and sorrowful; therefore, it should be balanced with the use of
orange.
Green invokes the feelings of harmony, balance, sympathy, and devotional love as well as relieving nervous tension. According to Dr. Lepore, green provides the natural balance between the powers of red and blue. Green also balances blue (a highly spiritual color invoking a sense of awe in most people as they gaze at the sky or sea) and yellow (said to be a very "mental" color that, in studies, affects subjects' abilities to study and learn). As the combination of these two colors, it helps people to merge their spiritual "heavenly thought" with their earthly "mental thoughts."
Green is the color of self-esteem. It may be disliked by persons just experiencing trauma because as it seeks to balance, it may cause aspects of the trauma to surface. Creating harmony and hope, it helps with the heart area and is good for tired nerves as it balances the emotions and brings a feeling of calmness. It stimulates growth so it is good for helping to heal broken bones,
and re-growing tissue of all kinds. However, exposure to too much green can deprive us of the challenges that we need in order to evolve and thrive. Its bluer tones suggest optimism and hope and are more spiritual than its other tones.
Next time you visit the mosque, reflect on the healing inherent in the colors around you, for indeed, Allah has sent us cures in many things - even in many places where we would not expect to find them.

Pakistan celebrates its 57th Independence day on 14 August 2004, at a time when the memories of recent militant attacks are fresh in people's minds and political parties are showing a new desire to limit the power of army in the country's governance
However, the military-led government still controls power. Political stability and economic progress remain a dream for common Pakistanis. And despite the Kashmir issue, people in India and Pakistan are showing a strong desire to build bridges
How are you celebrating Pakistan's Independence day? What do you think have been the achievements of the Pakistani nation? Where is Pakistan headed to in the next few years? Does Pakistan have anything to celebrate? This how some of our members spend the day...
Rukhshinda from Hong Kong wrote: " well here in Hong Kong ppl dunt really celebrate 14th august and we just wish each other and sometimes attend a jashne-azaadi party in pakistan club"
Babar wrote: "I am going to attend a friends engagement and that is how we will celebrate".
I am proud to celebrate my beautiful country's Independence Day with the same the passion and love and enthusiasm with which I had when I was first time given Pakistani Flag in my hand and had the opportunity to wave it to the world claiming my identity, during childhood. Now, even though I am studying for higher education in UK at the age of 24, I represent my beloved country, its culture, its norms and its practices. It's truly a dream come true feeling when you are known as Pakistani among all the nations of the world. It revitalises the fact that we did something amazing on 14th August 1947 and more is needed on 14th August 2003, to make our country prosperous and nation more bonded and strengthened. I strongly believe not just Pakistanis but Pakistan also deserves appreciation of celebrating this wonderful day. Love to all Pakistanis and Happy Independence Day! KA Syed, Islamabad
That's good to celebrate the Independence Day. You all Pakistanis are very lucky because you can celebrate your independence day. But you don't have to forget other countries too, like Afghanistan, Kashmir, etc. To celebrate an independence day is more than every thing. It shows that you are free, your people are free you don't care about any thing. So I whish you all the best in future! Be careful; You are Muslims so its an advice in Quran, "When you want to have freedom first let other people to have theirs then you can have yours." Neelam, Dusseldorf, Germany
As a nation Pakistan has nothing to celebrate. My birthday falls the same day as Pakistan Day. Therefore I never celebrate it because if I do, people think I am celebrating Independence Day. But really there is nothing to celebrate. Yes, we can celebrate daily the killing of innocent, the corruption of leaders, and starvation of the poor. Taki, China
Praise be to Allaah. There are many times and places where du’aa’ is answered. There follows a summary thereof:
1 – Laylat al-Qadar. It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “If I know what night is Laylat al-Qadar, what should I say during it?” He said: “Say: Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwan tuhibb ul-‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni (O Allaah, You are forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me).”
2 – Du’aa’ in the depths of the night, the time before dawn, the time when Allaah descends to bestow His bounty upon His slaves, to meet their needs and to relieve their distress, when He says: “Who will call upon Me, that I may answer Him? Who will ask of Me, that I may give him? Who will seek My forgiveness, that I may forgive him?” narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1145.
3 – Following the prescribed prayers. According to the hadeeth of Abu Umaamah, it was said: “O Messenger of Allaah, which du’aa’ is heard?” He said: “In the last third of the night, and following the prescribed prayers.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3499; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi. There was some difference of scholarly opinion concerning the phrase dabr al-salawaat al-maktoobah (“following the prescribed prayers”) – does it mean before the salaam or afterwards?
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah and his student Ibn al-Qayyim were of the view that it is before the salaam. Ibn Taymiyah said: “The word dabr refers to something that is part of a thing, like dabr al-haywaan (the hindquarters of an animal).” Zaad al-Ma’aad, 1.305. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said: “What has been narrated of du’aa’ following the prayer is before the salaam and what has been narrated of dhikr following the prayer is after the salaam, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “When you have finished As-Salaah (the congregational prayer), remember Allaah standing, sitting down, and (lying down) on your sides” [al-Nisa’ 4:103] See: Kitaab al-Du’aa’ by Shaykh Muhammad al-Hamad, p. 54
4 – Between the adhaan and the iqaamah. It is narrated in a saheeh report that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “A du’aa’ offered between the adhaan and iqaamah is not rejected.” Narrated by Abu Dawood (521) and al-Tirmidhi (212). See also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2408.
5 – When the call for the prescribed prayers is given and when the ranks are drawn up for battle, as it says in the marfoo’ hadeeth of Sahl ibn Sa’d: “There are two that will not be rejected, or will rarely be rejected: du’aa’ at the time of the call for prayer and at the time of battle when the fighting begins.” Narrated by Abu Dawood; it is a saheeh report. See Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3079.
6 – When rain falls, as it said in the hadeeth of Sahl ibn Sa’d that is attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “There are two which will not be rejected: du’aa’ at the time of the call (to prayer) and when it is raining.” Narrated by Abu Dawood and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’ (3078).
7 – At a certain time of the night, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “During the night there is a time when the Muslim does not ask for the good of this world and the Hereafter but it will be given to him, and that happens every night.” Narrated by Muslim, 757.
8 – A certain time on Friday. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mentioned Friday and said: “During it there is a time when a Muslim slave does not stand and pray and ask Allaah for something, but He will give it to him,” and he gestured with his hand to indicate how short that time is. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 935; Muslim, 852. See also question no. 21748.
9 – When drinking Zamzam water. It was narrated from Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Zamzam water is for that for which it is drunk.” Narrated by Ahmad and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 5502.
10 – When prostrating. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The closest that a person is to his Lord is when he is prostrating, so say a great deal of du’aa’ then.” Narrated by Muslim, 482.
11 – When hearing the crowing of a rooster, because of the hadeeth: “When you hear the crowing of a rooster, ask Allaah of His bounty, for he has seen an angel.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2304; Muslim, 2729. 12 – When saying the du’aa’, “Laa ilaaha illa anta, subhaanaka, inni kuntu min al-zaalimeen ([none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah)], Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers – cf al-Anbiya’ 21:87]).” It was narrated in a saheeh hadeeth that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“The prayer of Dhu’l-Noon (Yoonus) which he said when he was in the belly of the whale: ‘Laa ilaaha illa anta, subhaanaka, inni kuntu min al-zaalimeen ([none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah)], Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers.’ No Muslim recites this du’aa’ concerning any matter but Allaah will answer him.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as saheeh in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3383.
In his commentary on the passage (interpretation of the meaning): “And (remember) Dhun‑Noon (Jonah), when he went off in anger, and imagined that We shall not punish him (i.e. the calamities which had befallen him)! But he cried through the darkness (saying): Laa ilaaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allaah)], Glorified (and Exalted) be You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]! Truly, I have been of the wrongdoers.”
88. So We answered his call, and delivered him from the distress. And thus We do deliver the believers (who believe in the Oneness of Allaah, abstain from evil and work righteousness)” [al-Anbiya’ 21:87-88] Al-Qurtubi said: In this verse, Allaah stipulates that whoever calls upon Him, He will answer him as He answered and saved Dhu’l-Noon (Yoonus). This is what is meant by the words “And thus We do deliver the believers”. Al-Jaami’ li Ahkaam il-Qur’aan, 11/334.
13 – If a calamity befalls him and he says, Inna Lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’oon, Allaahumma ujurni fi museebati w'ukhluf li khayran minha (Truly, to Allaah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return; O Allaah, reward me in this calamity and compensate me with something better than it). It was narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh (918) that Umm Salamah said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “There is no calamity that befalls one of the Muslims and he responds by saying ‘Innaa Lillaahi wa innaa ilahi raaji'oon, Allaahumma ujurni fi museebati w'ukhluf li khayran minha (Truly, to Allaah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return; O Allaah, reward me in this calamity and compensate me with something better than it),’ but Allaah will compensate him with something better than it.”
14 – The prayer of people after the soul of the deceased has been taken. According to the hadeeth, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) entered upon Abu Salamah (after he had died) and his eyes were open. He closed them and said: “When the soul is taken, the gaze follows it.” Some of his family got upset and he said: “Do not pray for anything but good for yourselves, for the angels say Ameen to whatever you say.” Narrated by Muslim. 2732.
15 – Du’aa’ for one who is sick. Muslim (919) narrated that Umm Salamah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When you visit a sick person, say good things, for the angels say Ameen to whatever you say…” When Abu Salamah died, I came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: “Abu Salamah has died.” He said: “Say: O Allaah, forgive me and him, and compensate me well.” She said: I said: And Allaah compensated me with one who was better for me than him: Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
16 – The prayer of the one who has been wronged. In the hadeeth it says: “Fear the prayer of the one who has been wronged, for there is no barrier between it and Allaah.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 469; Muslim, 19. And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The prayer of the one who has been wronged will be answered, even if he is an evildoer, for his evildoing is only against himself.” Narrated by Ahmad. See Saheeh al-Jaami’, 3382.
17 – The du’aa’ of a father for his child – i.e., for his benefit – and the du’aa’ of a fasting person during the day of his fast, and the prayer of the traveller. It was narrated in a saheeh report that our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are three prayers that are not rejected: the prayer of a father for his child, the prayer of the fasting person and the prayer of the traveller.” Narrated by al-Bayhaqi; see Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2032; al-Saheehah, 1797.
18 – The prayer of a father against his child – i.e., to harm him. According to a saheeh hadeeth: ‘There are three prayers that will be answered: the prayer of one who has been wronged, the prayer of a traveller, and the prayer of a father against his child.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1905. See Saheeh al-Adab al-Mufrad, 372. 19 – The du’aa’ of a righteous person for his parents, as stated in the hadeeth narrated by Muslim (1631): “When the son of Adam dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, a righteous son who will pray for him, or beneficial knowledge.”
20 – Du’aa’ after the sun has passed its zenith and before Zuhr. It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-Saa’ib (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to pray four rak'ahs after the sun had passed its zenith and before Zuhr, and he said: “This is a time when the gates of heaven are opened and I want a good deed of mine to ascend during this time.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and its isnaad is saheeh. See Takhreej al-Mishkaat, 1/337.
21 – Du’aa’ when going to bed at night, and saying the du’aa’ that was narrated for that time. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever goes to bed at night and says Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wa Allaahu akbar wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (There is no god but Allaah and Allaah is Most Great and there is no power and no strength except with Allaah), then he says: Allaahumma ighfir li (O Allaah, forgive me), or he makes du’aa’, his prayer will be answered, and if he does wudoo’ and prays, his prayer will be accepted.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1154.

Nature of Satan and his Method of Seduction: The Story of the Visit of the Devil
Surely, Satan is an enemy to you, so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his "hizb" (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the Blazing Fire. Qur'an 35:6
The following is a Hadith from Ibn Abbas (RA), as related by Mu'dh Ibn Jabal and contained in Muhyiddin 'Arabi's book, 'Shajarat al-Kawn', (The Tree of Being). This is by information from another Hadith by Anas Ibn Malik (RA). Insh'Allah, this humble retelling will help us to do what Allah says ‘do’, and stop where Allah says ‘stop’.
One day, a congregation was gathered at the home of one of the Ansar around the Prophet (SAW). (According to Anas, it was Abu Ayyub). In the middle of a wonderful discourse, an ugly voice from the outside was heard saying, "O Messenger of Allah would you permit me to enter? I have business with you!"
All looked at the Prophet (SAW), who said to the ones present, "Do you recognize the owner of this voice?" The companions answered, "Allah and His Messenger know best" The Prophet (SAW) said, "It is Shaytan, the Accursed."
On hearing that, Umar (RAW), who was present, pulling his sword, asked, "O Messenger of Allah, permit me to go and cut off his head. Let me smash his skull and free the people from his trouble"
The Prophet (SAW) replied, "No, Umar, don't you know that you cannot kill him? He has permission to exist until Doomsday."
Then he added, "Open the door and admit him, as he did not come on his own, but on Allah's orders". Otherwise, he would not come here. Listen to what he says, and try to understand."
The Rawi (RA), one of the companions, relates the tale. "They opened the door and he appeared in front of us as an old man cross-eyed (or blind in one eye) and scant of beard, with only six or seven long hairs from his chin. He had a very big head, his crossed eyes close to the top of his head, high on his forehead, with big thick hanging lips, like those of a water buffalo. He saluted the Prophet and the Companions, to which the Prophet (SAW) responded, 'O Accursed, the salaam and salutations belong to Allah Most High. 'Then he said, 'I heard you are here on business. What is it?
"Shaytan said, 'I did not wish to come here, I was forced to. An angel came to me from your Lord, who honors whom He wishes, and said, "Allah Most High orders you to Muhammad, but you will go to him in humility and abasement, and be submissive and tractable. You will tell him how you seduce and mislead humankind. You are going to answer all his questions truthfully, without a single lie." And Allah said that if I lied to you, He would turn me into ashes and blow me away in the wind, and my enemies would laugh at me. I come with such orders, O Muhammad.'
"Then the Prophet (SAW) asked the Devil, 'Tell me, who in the creation do you hate most?'
The Devil answered, 'You O Muhammad! ("And all the prophets.") There is no one in the whole creation that I hate more than your or another like you.'
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) confirmed that the Devil was his (and all the prophets') greatest foe. He asked, Whom else do you detest, besides me?"
"Shaytan said, 'The young ones who have given up their pleasures and themselves for Allah's sake; the men of knowledge who act upon their knowledge and who decline all that is doubtful; the ones who are clean, so clean that they wash thrice that which they wish to cleanse. the patient poor, who neither ask from others the things they need, not complaining. the thankful rich, who give alms lawfully. the knowledgeable who act on what they know; the readers of the Qur'an who pattern themselves on it; those who call to prayer on time; advisors and reformers; abstainers from unlawful food and sex and those who place their trust in Allah; benefactors of the poor; the devout busy in Allah's service.
"Then, the Prophet (SAW) asked, 'What happens to you, O Accursed One, when my people do their prayers?'
"I shake and tremble as if stricken with malaria, because I see your people raised in blessing and power each time they prostrate."
Q: "'What happens to you, O Accursed, when my people fast?" A: 'I have my hands and feet tied until they break their fast..'
Q: 'What happens to you when they all meet on the Pilgrimage at the house of their Lord?' A: 'I lose my wits, I go mad."
Q: 'What happens to you when they recite the Holy Qur'an?' A: 'I melt, like lead turning to hot liquid in the fire.'
Q: 'And when they pay alms?' A: I am torn to pieces, as if the generous donors took a saw and sawed me into four pieces, because there are four beatitudes which the donor receives: the blessing of abundance, love and respect from Allah's creatures, a shield from Hell fires, and relief from distress and troubles.'
Q: "Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) asked the Devil what he thought of his beloved Companions. A: About Abu Bakr (RA) he said, 'I hate him. Even before Islam, he refused to obey, nay! even to hear me. How can he now listen to me?' About Umar Ibn Khattab he said, 'I run away whenever I see him. And about Ali Ibn Abu Talib he said, 'Oh, if I could just be safe from him, if he would just let me be, I would let him be. But he will not leave me alone!'
"Having heard the answers of the accursed Shaytan, the Prophet (SAW) thanked Allah said, 'Praised be to Allah, who has blessed my people with such felicity and cursed you with such negativity until that appointed time.
"When the Devil heard that, he said, 'Alas for you, what felicity for your people? How can you feel there is safety for them as long as I exist? I enter their very veins, their very flesh, and they cannot even suspect, let along see or feel me. I swear by Allah Who has given me time until Doomsday, that I will seduce them all, the intelligent and the simpleminded, the learned as well as the ignorant, the devout as well as the sinner. None will be safe from me, except the true servants of Allah.'
Q: 'Who are the true servants of Allah, according to you?' A: 'You know well, O Muhammad, that whoever loves his money and his property, Allah does not count among His servants. Whenever I see someone who does not say "mine" and me, who does not love either money or flattery, I know he is truly a servant of Allah and I run away from him. As long as one loves money, property, flattery, he obeys me, he is my servant. I need many servants and I have servants. I am not alone. I have 70,000 children, each of them with his assigned duties. Each of my 70,000 children has 70,000 shaytans serving under him, all assigned to different posts. Many are with the young, and the older women, and with the theologians and preachers and shaykhs. There are almost no difference of opinion between your young children. And some of the devout and some of the pious get along very well with my people! My devils lead the imagination of the sincerity of their devotions. Soon, they fight with each other and they don't even know what is happening to them. Then, I whisper to them, "Disbelieve", but when they disbelieve, I say,
"I am free of you. Surely I fear Allah, the Lord of the Worlds." (Sûrah al-Hashir, Ayat 16.)
"Then, the accursed Devil told how he profited from habits of man, which he liked. About lying, he said, 'Do you know, O Muhammad, that lying is from me and that I am the first liar: Whoever lies is my best friend; whoever swears to the truth of Allah and lied to Adam and Eve.
I swore to them both, "Surely I am a sincere advisor to you." (Sûrah AL A`raf, 7:21).
I also detest loving families. If they think of rejecting each other once, the marriage bond in Allah's view is dissolved. The wife will be unlawful to the husband. When they sleep together, they will be adulterers. If they have a child, he will be a bastard. I love that.'
'O Muhammad, let me tell you about my friends who abandon prayers or delay them. When it is time for prayer, I make them imagine that there is still time, that they are busy. They should enjoy what they are doing, they can always pray later! I hope they will die before doing their next prayer. If I don't succeed again, I enter into their prayers. I tell them, "Look to the right, look to the left! Think of the past, plan your future!" And when they do, I caress their cheeks and kiss their foreheads and take the peace from their hearts. You know, O Muhammad, that the prayers of those whose attention is outside of them or who are imagiging things which do not belong in the presence of Allah are also rejected and thrown in their faces. And, if I am not successful in that, I order them to do their prayers fast, and they look like hens picking at grain. If I still don't succeed, I follow them to the congregational prayers and put bridles on their heads. I pull, and lift their heads from the prostration before the Imam, and I push their heads down before the Imam touches his head to the ground and I am overjoyed to remember that Allah will turn those unruly heads into donkeys heads on the Last Day of Judgment. If I am still not successful, I try at least to make them crack their fingers while they are making prayers. Then, they will be among those who make my tasbih, instead of Allah's ta'bih. Or at least I will blow into their noses and make them yawn and, if they open their mouths, a little devil will enter into them through their mouths and increase their love and ambition of this world. The one who loves and is ambitious for this world becomes my soldiers; he obeys me and does as he is ordered.
'O Muhammad, how can you hope and be serene about your people's salvation and felicity? I have a trap at every corner for them. I go to the poor and tell them, "What has Allah done for you? Why do you pray to Him? Prayer is for those to whom He has given in abundance." Then, I go the ones who are sick and tell them to stop praying, and remind them that even Allah said,
"There is no blame on the sick" (Surah Nur, 24:61)
I hope that they will die having abandoned their prayers, so that Allah will meet them with anger in the Hereafter.
'O Muhammad, if I have told a single lie, may scorpions bite me, and ask from Allah that He turn me into ashes. O Muhammad, do not be sure of your people. I have already converted a sixth of them, who have left their religion.'
Q: 'O Accursed One, with whom do you most like to spend your time?' A: 'The usurer.
Q: 'And your best friend?' A: 'The adulterer.'
Q: With whom do you share your bed?' A: 'The drunkard.'
Q: 'Who are your guests?' A: 'The thieves.'
Q: 'Who are your representatives?' A: The magicians and soothsayers.'
Q: 'What pleases you most?' A: 'Divorce.'
Q: 'Whom do you love most?' A: 'Those who abandon their Friday prayers.'
The ten friends of Shaytan are, tyrants and oppressors; the arrogant; servile scholars who hide the truth for the benefit of tyrants; dishonest tradesmen; drinkers of alcohol; dealers in fraud; slanderers; those who stir up trouble among friends.
Q: "What breaks your heart, o Accursed One? A: 'The determination and the firm footsteps of those who march against the enemies of Allah for Allah's sake.'
Q: 'What gives you pain?' A: 'The repentance of the penitent.'
Q: 'What makes you grimace?' A: 'The alms given in secret.'
Q: 'What makes your eyes blind?' A: 'The tahajjud prayer in the middle of the night.'
Q: 'What makes you bow your head?' A: 'Prayer done in congregation.'
'Q: 'O Shaytan, according to you, who are the happiest among people?' A: 'The ones who purposefully abandon their prayers.'
Q: 'And the best among people?' A: 'The miser.'
Q: 'What prevents you from doing your job?' A: 'The gathering of men of knowledge and their discourses.'
Q: 'How do you eat your food?' A: 'With my left hand and the tips of my fingers.'
Q: 'When the sun is hot, where do you seek shade?' A: 'Under people's dirty fingernails.'
" 'I asked Allah to give me a house, and He gave me the public baths. I asked Allah to give me a temple, and he gave me the marketplace as my temple. I asked Allah to give me a book. He gave me the book of poetry as my book. I asked for a call to prayer, and He gave me the dancing music. I asked for someone to share my bed, and He gave me the drunkard. I asked Allah for helpers. Allah gave me those who believe in free will. I asked Allah to give me brothers and sisters, and Allah gave me the squanders who spend their money on evil things. Allah said,
"surely the squanders are the Devil's brethren" (Surah Bani Isr'ail, Ayat 27).
Then I asked Allah to be able to see the children of Adam while they are unable to see me, and He accorded that to me. I wished that the very veins of the children of Adam be my routes, and it was given to me. So, I flow in their veins as I wish and enter their flesh. All these were given to me, and I am proud of what I have received. And, let me add, O Muhammad, that there are more with me than there are with you.'
" 'Then the Prophet (SAW) said, 'If you had not proven what you said with the verses of Allah's Book, it would have been hard for me to confirm what you say.'
" 'The Devil continued, 'Do you know, O Muhammad, that I have a son whose name is Atam? He urinates in the ear of the people who go to sleep without performing their night prayers. His urine puts them to sleep, otherwise, no one could have gone to bed without finishing their prayers.
Then, I have a son whose name is Mutaqadi. His duty is to publicize the prayers, the devotions, the good deeds done in secret a hundred fold. When deeds are publicized and receive credit and praise from the creatures of Allah, Allah takes away 99 of the promised one hundred rewards.
Then, I have a son whose name is Kuhayl. His duty is to put kohl on the eyes of those in the presence of wise men or preachers. The ones whose eyes he has touched start falling asleep. They are, thus, prevented from hearing the words of Allah or receiving any benefits from them.
" 'The Devil talked about women. He said, 'Whenever a woman leaves her seat, a Devil sits in her place. On the lap of every woman sits a shaytan who makes her desirable to whoever looks at her. Then, he orders the woman to open and show her arms, her legs, and her breast and with his claws, tears her veil of shame and decency.'
" 'Then the Devil started to complain. He said, 'O Muhammad, inspite of all this, I have no strength to take away the faith of the faithful. I only take away their faith when they throw it away. If I were able, there would be no one on the face of this world who could say: LA ILAHA ILLALLAH, MUHAMMAD RASULULLAH, " There is no Creator by Allah, Muhammad is His Messenger." I would not leave a single one to pray or fast. All I can do is to give the children of Adam imaginations, illusions and delusions, make the ugly appear beautiful, the wrong, right; and the bad, good. Neither do you have the power to give faith. You are only a proof of the Truth, because I know that, if you were given the power to give true faith, you would not leave a single non-believer on the face of this world. The fortunate one who is a believer is fortunate in his mother's womb, and the rebellious sinner is a rebel in his mother's womb. As you are the guide of the fortunate, I am only the cause of sin of the ones who are destined to sin. Allah is He who renders one fortunate and another rebellious.' Then he recited from Surah Hud,
"And if thy Lord had pleased He would have made people a single nation, and they cease not to differ, except those upon whom thy Lord has mercy, and for this did He create them. And the word of them altogether" (Surah Hud, Ayat 118-119.)
He recited from Surah Ahzab, Ayat 38: ' "And the command of Allah is a decree that is made absolute.' "
Then, the Mercy upon the Universe told the Devil, 'O Father of All Bitterness, I wonder if it is at all possible for you to repent and return to your Lord. I promise I would intercede for you.'
"The Accursed One answered, 'O Messenger of Allah, it is Allah's justice. The ink on the pen which wrote the judgment is dry. What will happen until Doomsday. The One who made the master of all prophets, the speaker for the inhabitants of Paradise, the One who chose you to be the beloved amongst His creation, chose me to be the master of sinners and the speaker of the inhabitants of Hell. He is Allah. O Muhammad, this which I have told you is my last word to you, and I have told nothing but the truth.' "
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. Allah says in Qur'an:
Surely Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe: Send ye blessing and salute him with all respect. 33:53
May Allah's blessing be upon Muhammad, the Beloved of Allah, and upon his household and Companions and upon those who love him. Amin.

(17). Their similitude is that of a man who kindled a fire; when it lighted all around him Allah took away their light and left them in utter darkness so they could not see.
(18). Deaf dumb and blind they will not return (to the path).
(19). Or (another similitude) is that of a rain-laden cloud from the sky; in it are zones of darkness and thunder and lightning they press their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunder-clap the while they are in terror of death. But Allah is ever round the rejecters of Faith!
(20). The lightning all but snatches away their sight; every time the light (helps) them they walk therein and when the darkness grows on them they stand still. And if Allah willed He could take away their faculty of hearing and seeing; for Allah hath power over all things
