The National Association of Town Watch is the originating sponsor of National Night Out: America's Night Out Against Crime, along with the U.S. Department of Justice and Target Stores. Brother2Brother & Sister2Sister is a proud National Association of Town Watch member organization.

B2B/S2S--hosts of Downtown Oakland's Lakeside Neighborhood Block Party--is a charitable nonprofit producing Multimedia Arts for Social Change. Wil Oliver, co-founder and Creative Executive Officer, is a longtime bay area artist and social activist.

At National Night Out '05, 1st annual Lakeside Neighborhood Block Party, in addition to having a great time meeting one another, we successfully galvanized over 150 of our uniquely diverse local residents in the struggle to zone Jackson Street and connecting blocks for residential parking stickers which will save residents tens of thousands of dollars.

At NNO '06 on August 2, 2006, 300 folks found "Life is Beautiful," aswe helped to focus the local community on personal safety and forming The Lakeside Neighborhood Residents Association. Now in place, residents have a unified voice in asserting our positions, forming Neighborhood Watch, and meeting other community needs.

Starting June 2007, weekly face-to-face Block Party volunteer meetings will take place for hour on Saturdays at the Oakland Public Library in preparation for NNO on August 7, 2007.

In the meanwhile, we are hosting TGI Chachie's with the Beat 4 ~ Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council on Fridays from 5-8pm at Chachie's Internet Cafe, 1820 Broadway, downtown Oakland.
