Blink Link serves as a forum for the discussion of blindness-related topics, as well as anything else of interest to the list members. The group consist of blind and visually impaired people, their loved ones and friends, and anyone interested in the communities of blinks all over the world. This means you do not have to be blind in order to become part of Blink Link.
Topics may include, but are not exclusive to:
• How people, with vision loss, live from day to day;
• The technology (adaptive or otherwise) and government programs that are used to give them a level playing field with their sighted counterparts;
• The adaptive tech companies, blindness organizations, foundations, and other organized groups that seek to improve the conditions of blinks;
• Special and mainstream education;
• The employment of, and work-related issues concerning, the blind and visually impaired;
• Social, political, cultural and technological dilemmas faced by blinks today; and,
• Anything that a number of blinks anywhere would like to talk and ask about, even if it is not strictly blindness-related, as long as the group will take interest in discussing the topic.
The list is a great place to meet and communicate with people from everywhere. Let's discuss what we do and do not have in common, and maybe learn along the way.
