I have alot of parenting experience, just no special needs experience. Your
little guy has had a time of it! What a trooper! It is wonderful that he is
doing so well! I am very sorry about your little girl. That is very sad. ---

blind from birth. He was born a twin. His sister Isabelle died at 6 months of
cot death and was health and sighted. The twin were born at 35 weeks. Due to
Will have dilated kidneys. Soon after the birth, Will was also found to have a
heart murmor. At 11 weeks old he had an emergancy operation and was diagnosed
with servere aortic stenosis. He made a full recover but will need further
operations. This is when his blindness was noticed. Me and my husband Phil has
noticed from about 3 wweks old his vision wasn't right, obviously we had
Isabelle to compare him to. But the doctor and HV didn't listen. He was
officially diagnosed with Norries 2 months ago. Despite all this, Will is doing
brilliant. He's hit all of his milestones so far and walking and begining to
talk more. He an absolute star. Just have problems with his statement, as they
started it about 2 months ago and he's to young for most things on it. They even
want me to start potty training him now but I put me foot down on that one. He's
just too young!!!
