Hello... I am starting this group in hopes of helping Alexandra House (www.alexhouse.org) here in Kansas City. A little about Alexandra House: "If the life of your unborn or newborn baby is in jeopardy, Alexandra's House offers the support and resources to help mothers and families provide care to their special baby.

Coordination of community resources, a spiritual support network, hospice care and after care are all provided. We are open to listen, to pray, to share, and to support you and your family as you plan the important care of your newborn or unborn baby." I would like to coordinate efforts to donate preemie/newborn afghans to Alexandra House and other organizations here in the KC area. Donations of finished afghans OR 6 inch granny squares are appreciated. Also, in this group I will coordinate some exchanges (squares etc). But my primary goal is to make and donate afghans for preemies & newborns. A website for this group is coming soon. It will offer free patterns and a place to order your yarn and supplies.
