The Bisexual Organizing Project (BOP) is a non-profit social & service organization dedicated to serving the needs of the Twin Cities bisexual community and providing resources and information to the community at large. BOP is not just for people who identify as bisexual--it is home to a wide variety of people whose emotional or sexual attraction is not limited to one gender or is not dependent on gender at all. It is welcoming to anyone who doesn't fit neatly into the definitions of lesbian, straight, or gay, as well as those who are in the process of exploring their sexuality. Friends, loved ones, and allies are also welcome, regardless of how they identify themselves, as long as they are willing to be respectful of others in the group. BOP sponsors the Bi Empowerment Conference (BECAUSE), has a booth for PRIDE festivals in Duluth, Fargo/Moorhead, La Crosse, Mankato, Minneapolis, and Rochester and is part of the Pride Picnic in Saint Paul. BOP also holds monthly social events such as Bis Eat Out (a pay-as-you-go outing) and Bis Eat In Brunch (an informal forum and potluck), a guys only event called Guy Gab, and a womyn-only event called Chic Chat. Consider the value of the cause and please make a donation to make it possible for our presence to continue. There is a suggested donation of at least $10 per calendar year to help support the organization's expenses related to community involvement.
