Can BeeLine antenna line alongside the circuit board?   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #133 of 246 |
I received my BeeLine transmitter (about 2 years ago) with the antenna laid out
away from the circuit board. Here is a photo of a similarly laid out antenna
(yellow wire):

However, the photo on the web site,
http://www.bigredbee.com/images/IMG_0152-1.jpg, shows the antenna (red wire in
this case) lying along side the circuit board.

I'm trying to save a little space and would like to reorient the
antenna so that it lies alongside the circuit board (for the first 1 1/4" of the
antenna's length) and looks like the photo on the BRB web site (second link
above).

Is there any reason not to do this? I imagine it could cause reliability
problems by putting a stronger RF signal next to CPU, etc. Does anyone fly with
it this way?

Jim

Here's a corrected version of the second link: http://www.bigredbee.com/images/IMG_0152-1.jpg Thanks in advance, Jim...
