Greetings from CARE India.
CARE is one of the world’s largest, independent, non-profit-making, non-political and non-sectarian international relief and development organisations working in more than 70 countries. In India, it is involved in nutrition and health, micro-finance, agriculture and natural resource development, primary education, and emergency response, rehabilitation projects in ten states that include MP, AP, UP, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand and Delhi.
CARE India, has been very active in the relief and rehabilitation activities consequent upon several natural as well as conflict led disasters in the country. It is our belief that amateur radio net work can play a very important role with a view to help the needy particularly in emergencies.
To begin with we have established a HAM station in our Delhi office in partnership with National Institute of Amateur Radio. It is now proposed to promote a HAM HUMANITARIAN NETWORK by involving all the interested radio amateurs throughout the country on voluntary basis. Depending on the response of the HAMs the modalities can be worked. Performa is enclosed herewith seeking the particulars of HAMs who are interested in offering their services purely on voluntary basis.
