This group is dedicated to our Holy Father St. Benedict. It is my prayer that on this site we will discuss Oblate issues and provide support for souls who feel called to the Holy Rule of St. Benedict. There are other oblate groups out there but the purpose of this one is to satisfy the need of Oblates who are not theologians are trying to persuade others of anything but devotion for and the practice of the Holy Rule of St. Benedict. Please no baggage; morally superior vegetarians, or souls convinced that the only true path is through polysyllabic theological assertions.
We are here not only for help and discussion of the version of the Divine Office titled "Benedictine Daily Prayer" published by Liturgical Press but also for those praying the Benedictine "Monastic Diurnal" re-published by St. Michael's Abbey in Farnborough, and perhaps primarily, for help and encouragement in the practice of Benedictine Spirituality according to the Holy Rule of St. Benedict.
