Beogradska Tango Asocijacija sa velikim zadovoljstvom objavljuje ponovni dolazak
u nas grad cuvenog majstora tanga Anhela Korije. Anhel Korija pripada samom vrhu
tango umetnika. Poznat je kao jedan od vodecih igraca i koreografa u kultnom
Saurinom filmu Tango. U svojoj bogatoj karijeri nastupao je i saradjivao zajedno
sa tango ikonama kao sto su Juan Carlos Copes, Mariano Mores, Julian Plaza,
Maria i Carlos Rivarola, Raul Lavie, Virginia Luquez, Maria Granas, Sexteto
Mayor, Jos� Colangello, Osvaldo Berdincely, Alberto Podesta�
Bio je umetnicki direktor i koreograf poznatih tango sou programa: Buenos Aires
Bohemia, El Viejo Almacen, Manofactura Papelera i El Gran Debut. Kao tango
ucitelj prepoznatljiv je po sjajnoj komunikaciji sa ucenicima, vrhunskoj
tehnici, sa elegantnim i senzualnim stilom koji atmosferu na casovima pretvara u
pravu tango harmoniju. Predavao je i nastupao u SAD, Kini, Japanu, Italiji,
Nemackoj, Spaniji, Portugalu, Kanadi, Meksiku, Ekvadoru, Brazilu, Cileu, Peru-u,
Paragvaju i Urugvaju.
Beogradska tango scena ponovo ima veliku srecu da saradjuje sa velikim
prijateljem i uciteljem Anhelom Korijom.

Dragi Tango Prijatelji,

VI Beogradski tango festival odrzace se od 4. do 6.septembra 2009.godine.
Uprkos krizi i problemima u kojoj se nalazi kultura u nasoj zemlji Beogradska
Tango Asocijacija je uspela da organizuje festival i ove godine i time omoguci
svim ljubiteljima tango plesa i muzike da ponovo uzivaju u danima argentinskog
tanga u nasem gradu.
Za tri intenzivna tango dana, tokom festivala bice organizovane 3 gran milonge u
nedavno renoviranom Centralnom klubu Doma Vojske Srbije i Centru Lepih Umetnosti
Guarneriusu i 14 tango seminara sa razlicitim temama i pravcima u tango plesu.

Die Insel Insel Vis ist bisher touristisch noch nicht sehr erschlossen und eben
das macht ihren ganz besonderen Charme aus.
Bis 1989 war es Ausl�ndern g�nzlich verboten, die Insel auch nur zu betreten.
Die Bewohner, die nicht beim Milit�r arbeiteten, verdienten ihr Geld
haupts�chlich mit dem Sardinenfang und dem Weinanbau. So ist der Tourismus f�r
die Insel relativ neu, was sie zu einem sehr authentischen und sehenswerten
Urlaubsort macht.
Wir setzen mit der F�hre von Split �ber, das dauert etwa drei Stunden und
genie�en den wunderbaren Ausblick wenn man in den Hafen Vis einl�uft.

6th International Istanbul Tango Festival Update

Dear List,

We would like to share the current progress of our 6th International Istanbul
Tango Festival;

- We have now placed a new version of the festival video whose duration is 8
min. 42 sec. Please give it a try. You will love the interpretation of Oblivion
there with traditional Ottoman and Orient instruments merged to bandoneon.

- single registrations will be taken until 1st of May. After then all single
registrations will be taken to the waiting list and will be promoted to the
confirmed lists when the need arise. Please hurry up.

- Currently we have participants from 33 countries. Last year we had 41
countries  in July. That is we will have more countries registered soon.

- Two of the festival hotels are full now. The other one has 50% full. Although
we could still find you accomodation even if the last hotel were full, please
consider that the festival time is high season for Istanbul.

- The gala of the festival will be in Adile Sultan Palace, with 600 m. square
dance saloon without any interruption.

- Our closing night will be in "1001 column cistern" It is an old underground
water warehouse built by Roman Senate Philoxenus in 330 A.C.
  This is definetly a life time experience. You would not miss it.


- With support of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, we have organized a free
Bosphorus tour for you. You could complete your festival registration and
recieve your file on the boat while you watch the shore of Europe and Asia at
the same time. Do not forget your cameras.

- As in every previous years, we have organized the shuttles among all locations
so that you could enjoy your trip and time in safety. Please indicate during the
registration.

We would like to share the progress of our 6th International Istanbul

Tango Festival;

- You may know that it is our primary focus to have you learned from

worldwide maestros and danced in the historical locations of Istanbul.

To serve on this purpose, milonga on 4th July will take place in

Historical Adile sultan Palace ( built in 1856 ) Milonga on 5th July

will take place in 1001 Column Cistern ( built in 330 A.C. by Roman

Senate Philoxenus ) Please visit the web site for the pictures of the

venues.

- If you come early to Istanbul you will take advantage of joining to

a free bosphorus tour on 1st of July. You could register at the boat

while you enjoy the Europe and Asia sides of the Bosphorus at the same

time that is a life-time experience. This event is sponsored by

Istanbul Tourism Atelier. Please indicate in the registration form.

- Today one of the festival hotels have been already full. The otner

one has left only 6 doubles, 5 singles room. Please hurry up.

- single registrations will be taken until 1st of May. After then all

We are happy to inform you that Istanbul Tango Festival 2009 program

is published at our official web site, www.istanbultangofestival.com

As in previous years, in 2009 we will again have two international
events;

- Tango Nuevo Weekend, and
- Istanbul Tango Festival

Tango Nuevo Weekend will happen in 6-7-8 March and the workshops will
be open only to

women. The classes will be given by maestras Cecila Gonzalez and
Lucia Mazer. The subjects are focused on the capability building in
women techniques.

In 2009 we will organize our 6th International Istanbul Tango
Festival between 2 - 5

July.

Another noticable indicator is that all festival classes were full on

June in 2008, that is one month before the festival date.

We hosted participants from 36 countries in 2007 and 41 countries in
