Since we first opened in 2003, Beijing has seen many changes, from witnessing the demolition of the traditional hutongs, to the great boom of the night-life in Chaoyang district, to the gold rush for teaching English, down to the hosting of the 2008 Olympics. At the same time, Beijing-ren also changed, and stuff such as the I heart China T-shirts,the now regular Visa restrictions, and all the troubles that most Westerners are made to endure while in China, always remind us of how non-welcome we are in this country. Never the less, we are still the biggest functioning Beijing group, a friendly and lively place, where human relationships are not mechanic, cold and inhuman like in the big websites that monopolize the Beijing scene these days. And like always, here you can meet the coolest people, exchange views and opinions, chat, make friends, find new dates etc. etc.
