February 19, 2009 at 3 pm at BRAC University. See the computer create Bangla
unicode text from scanned images and then read out the text. Meet the people
behind it.

We have come a long way, but we have even a longer way to go.

The TTS and OCR run on Linux, Windows and Mac OSX. There is also a web-enabled
front-end for the TTS (and under development for the OCR), making these tools
available at anytime and from anywhere. We are working on better integration
with screen readers in collaboration with the vision impaired community.

The Bangla language processing tools developed at CRBLP are free and open source
software, released under GNU Public License v2, and supported in part by funding
from Canadian IDRC and BRAC University. Please visit CRBLP website

introduces a new combination vaccine that will protect its children
against five killer diseases in one injection, including, for the
first time, the deadly bacterium Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)
that causes some severe forms of pneumonia and meningitis. In a
ceremony in Khulna District, southwest of the capital Dhaka, the
Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Professor A.F.M. Ruhul Haque,
along with other health officials and representatives of UN agencies
and development partners will administer the first shots of the
combination vaccine to Bangladeshi children.
>
>
> Hib is one of the causes of severe pneumonia and meningitis among
children. Each year, Hib is estimated to cause millions of serious
illnesses and 400,000 deaths globally, the majority of them among
children under five years of age. Even with treatment, thousands of
children die of Hib disease every year. Survivors are often
permanently disabled—paralyzed, deafened or brain damaged.  The
vaccine can prevent about one third of life-threatening cases of
bacterial pneumonia, the leading infectious cause of death in
children worldwide. In Bangladesh, it is estimated that 24% of under-
five child deaths is due to pneumonia.
>
> The vaccine will be provided under the routine immunization
programme to nearly four million children born in Bangladesh every
year. As Bangladesh records high routine immunization coverage, it
is estimated that Hib vaccine can save about 20,000 children's lives
annually year.
>
> "This life-saving vaccine represents an important step forward in
preventing childhood diseases in Bangladesh", said A.M.M. Nasir
Uddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at the
launch. "It will greatly help our country to achieve Millennium
Development Goal 4 which aims at reducing under-five mortality."
>
> "Hib vaccine is a safe, effective and highly cost-effective
intervention used for more than 18 years in developed and many
developing countries.  Where used routinely, it has virtually
eliminated Hib disease," commented Dr. Rana Hajjeh, Director of the
Hib Initiative at Johns Hopkins University. "Clearly, Hib vaccine
will have a major impact in Bangladesh in the same way it has saved
thousands of children in other countries."  In South-Asia, Sri Lanka
and Pakistan introduced the Hib vaccine in 2008.
>
> The new combination or 5-in-1 vaccine will protect children
against Hib and four other deadly diseases: diphtheria, tetanus,
pertussis, and hepatitis B. Instead of three different injections
(for DPT, Hepatitis B and Hib), children will only need one
injection at three different times during their first year of life:
at the age of 6 weeks, 10 weeks and 14 weeks. This will make it
easier for health workers who will need less time and less logistics
to immunize all children. It will also increase the uptake of
vaccine as each child will get all five vaccines at once.
>
> "We are proud to be part of this new initiative by helping with
the procurement of the vaccines and supporting the training of about
60,000 health workers together with WHO," said UNICEF Deputy
Representative in Bangladesh, Dr. Iyorlumun J Uhaa. The introduction
of the 5-in-1 vaccine in Bangladesh is carried out with financial
and technical support from the GAVI Alliance and its key partners
including UNICEF, WHO and the Hib Initiative. GAVI will spend more
than US$95 million for procuring more than 27 million doses for
2009 - 2010. The Government of Bangladesh will co-finance the
purchase by investing US$5.6 million during the same period.
>
> "Vaccines and improvement in health and immunization systems are
much needed in this part of the world," said Dr. Julian Lob-Levyt,
Executive Secretary of the GAVI Alliance. "We applaud Bangladesh for
taking this important step to help prevent more childhood diseases."
>
> "The introduction of new Hib vaccine will drastically reduce the
burden of Hib disease. At the same time, the use of the combination
vaccine containing five antigens in one shot will increase the
Routine Immunization Coverage and it will result in reduction of
morbidity and mortality from other vaccine preventable diseases",
said WHO Representative in Bangladesh, Dr Duangvadee Sungkhobol.
>
> With high poverty, low literacy levels, and limited access to
healthcare, many sick children in this densely populated country of
155 million never reach a hospital and often die at home. Vaccines
that protect children against preventable high-mortality infections,
such as Hib, are urgently needed.
>
> "The situation with Hib disease in Bangladesh is very grave, since
drug-resistant strains are increasing, and to treat infection
doctors must use expensive drugs, which are not readily available in
most hospitals," said Dr. Samir Saha, a Microbiologist at Dhaka
Shishu Hospital. "This vaccine will prevent needless suffering,
disability, and death." Dr. Saha coauthored a case-control study
showing that routine immunization of infants with Hib vaccine
prevents one third of serious pneumonia cases and more than 80% of
probable bacterial meningitis cases in Bangladesh.

Subject: Beware of false intellectuals plagiarizing The India Doctrine (1947-2007)

Dear All,

It appears some so-called intellectuals of Bangladesh have been
randomly picking ideas from my book The India Doctrine (1947-2007) and
using them as if they were the originators of the concepts and
interpretations therein. If this was the case then why have all these
pseudo-intellectuals failed to publish a single book or thesis on the
subject during the last 40 years? There seems to be a trend developing
where rightist 'intellectuals' steal (or should that be borrow ideas)
written by others without giving them credit. This probably explains
the intellectual vacuum within some political parties in Bangladesh
and their massive defeat in the national elections.

To avoid plagiarism as just described you must give credit whenever
you use

• another person's idea, opinion, or theory;
• any facts, statistics, graphs, drawings—any pieces of
information—that are not common knowledge;
• quotations of another person's actual spoken or written words; or
• paraphrase of another person's spoken or written words.

http://www.indiana.edu/~wts/pamphlets/plagiarism.shtml

According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, to "plagiarize" means

1. to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own
2. to use (another's production) without crediting the source
3. to commit literary theft
4. to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an
existing source.

In other words, plagiarism is an act of fraud. It involves both
stealing someone else's work and lying about it afterward.

http://www.plagiarism.org/learning_center/what_is_plagiarism.html

I have refrained from identifying the persons involved in plagiarizing
my work to save them from public embarrassment but if they continue to
use the ideas, concepts and interpretations used by me in my books
then I will name and shame them because they have no right to present
themselves as honest or having any claim to integrity. They are the
same charlatans who have ruined this country and are now defrauding
the people with ideas stolen from other since they do not have the
ability or intelligence to come up with new ideas of their own.

Thank for the good effort. Why dont you look onto the research on the impact of Jamuna Bridge and similar bridges. The impacts mainly related to physical environment, river itself and the human settlement. I request you to keep serching the similar research and funalise your methodology and topic. However, I am confused about your topic because now a day, its a old topic while every people are aware about the impact of construction on the river if you do not have contingenncy for the structure. PhD Localization methods in Smart Dust Sensor Networks

Detail in (Deadline March 16th, 2009)

http://www.utwente.nl/vacatures/en/09-034-eng.doc/

Research project description

Smart dust sensor networks, consisting of very small sensor nodes capable of limited computation, sensing, and communication, are envisioned to fulfill complex large-scale monitoring tasks in a wide variety of application areas.

Smart dust networks differ from current wireless sensor networks in a number of ways:

-

Small size: current RF antennas are too large for dust nodes;

-

Mobility: future Smart Dust nodes are likely to be small enough to be moved by winds or even to remain suspended in air. This is in contrast to current sensor nodes, which are typically immobile due to their size and weight;

-

Large scale: the expected small size and low cost of future Smart Dust nodes will allow very large number of nodes;

-

Very low energy;

-

Limited computing and memory resources.

In many potential smart dust applications, such as object detection and tracking, fine-grained node localization plays a key role. Traditional localization methods are difficult to use in smart dust systems since the topology is an ad-hoc network, which can be mobile as well.

This PhD project will focus on the localization methods in smart dust sensor networks with the following research topics:

-

Inertial navigation techniques, using motion sensors to continuously track the position, orientation, and velocity of a moving object, without the need for external references;

-

RRSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator), which would allow the many sensors, that constitute a mesh network, to calculate their locations based on the time it takes for the radio signal to reach its neighboring sensors;

New localization techniques.

PhD student Piezoelectric devices

Detail in (Deadline March 15, 2009)

http://www.utwente.nl/vacatures/en/09-027-eng.doc/

In this project, we aim to develop novel piezoelectric devices and extract physical parameters thereof. The project is financed by the Dutch Technology Foundation STW (10172) (www.stw.nl (opens in a new window)) via the open technology program (OTP). The scientific program is carried out at the NXP Research site (MiPlaza) in Eindhoven, and at MESA+/University of Twente in Enschede, both in the Netherlands. The Ph.D. student is under guidance of two supervisors from the University of Twente. Throughout this period the scientific program is strongly linked to NXP.

PhD students in the EU project ‘BRICS’ (Robotics)

Detail in (Deadline 1 April 2009)

http://www.utwente.nl/vacatures/en/09-017-eng.doc/

Robotic systems and applications are about to become a key technology to address two socioeconomicmegatrends: the over-aging societies and the competitiveness in the global markets. To address the most urgent needs of an over-aging society, a multitude of service robots will have to be developed in a rather short time. To persist in an increasingly harsh competition with low-wage countries the innovation and production cycles in Europe have to be reduced significantly asking for new and flexible automation solutions.

Robot developers in academia and industry badly need common research platforms and development tools shortening the development cycles for new robot systems and applications significantly. In other areas such as telecommunication or automotive industry or embedded systems industry much effort has been made in the past years to design such integrated development environments. The robotics community has to follow these models in order to make robot technology an innovative key technology as stated above. BRICS is going to address this urgent need.

An Impending Geopolitical Earthquake?

The financial and economic turmoil the world is currently experiencing will certainly have many serious consequences beyond those fields. Indeed, its geopolitical fallout could be far more serious than commonly acknowledged and it is an element that cannot be neglected by neither statesmen nor analysts.

Some scholars frequently hold that politics and economics are somehow separate. Such view is profoundly mistaken because politics and economics are strongly interlinked. Actually, political power and economic wealth cultivate one another. Likewise, economic trouble, more often than not, tends to lead to political trouble and the reverse is equally true.

Therefore, it is fairly reasonable to assert that this financial crisis will have a major impact on the international system's balance of power. Some states (including Great Powers) could redefine their priorities. Other states are in a direr situation so they would have to make dramatic adjustments concerning their policies.

Take the case of the United States. Following the end of the Cold War, the US intended to establish a unipolar era in which its hegemonic position would remain unrivaled (the so called 'Project for a New American Century'). However, Washington has had to deal with several setbacks and challenges like the rise of other great powers (China and Russia), the proliferation of anti-American regimes (Iran, Venezuela) as well as Washington's military quagmires (Iraq and Afghanistan). Thus, the position of the US could be weakened as a result of the financial crisis.

It is unknown at this point if the Dollar hegemony will prevail and remain unscathed. The dollar can certainly survive but its position could be critically eroded. This is extremely important to bear in mind because the Dollar hegemony is one of the twin pillars of American power, the other one being military strength. The US Dollar's position as the top reserve currency is what has allowed the American economy to finance a huge trade deficit. A byproduct of that is the accumulation of the world's largest external debt, equivalent to almost 99.95% of America's GDP (!?).  That means it cannot be paid so, what will happen if suddenly America's creditors decide to collect at least a part of that debt? If the US refuses to pay, how will its debtors react?

Moreover, the financial and economic crisis might acutely restrict NATO's operational capabilities beyond its borders. The Atlantic alliance is currently contemplating an increased military presence in Afghanistan. It also seeks to advance further eastward into the Post-Soviet space. However, such agenda could be impeded by other concerns closer to home.

It turns out that several European States (some with both NATO and European Union membership) are already facing sociopolitical complications that have been triggered by their severe financial and economic difficulties (lack of credit, unemployment, currency depreciation, external debt, GDP negative growth). If their situation deteriorates further, an eventual deployment of NATO troops in one or more of its members' territory is not unconceivable at all. The official purpose would be the preservation of political stability. The unofficial (and real) goal would be to prevent NATO-friendly governments from collapsing. Iceland, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Poland and even Italy and France are in a particularly dire position. According to Der Spiegel, Britain itself (the very cradle of modern finance) is "on the brink of financial ruin".

This scenario can be dismissed as far-fetched but even the American financial sector is under critical circumstances. Like Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin recently remarked "… investment  banks, [once] the pride of Wall Street, have virtually ceased to exist. In just twelve months, the have posted losses exceeding the profits they made in the last 25 years…"

The Russian Federation itself is not immune. For instance, the Kremlin's plans to make Moscow an international financial center do not seem very likely now, due to the ruble's depreciation. In spite of that, the Russian government knows it has an important capability to maneuver through the crisis. Its main asset is the huge reserves of foreign currency (the third largest in the world) it has amassed during the last years. Plus, Russian energy and arms exports are a reliable source of income.

Other Post-Soviet States are in a more delicate position. For instance, Kyrgyzstan decided to close the Manas Air Force Base (operated by the US Air Force) in exchange for Russian financial and economic concessions, which means Moscow scored a most crucial geopolitical victory. This teaches a vital lesson: Financial means are very useful to accomplish geopolitical objectives. On the other hand, Ukraine's economy is rather fragile so Kiev it has been rumored that Kiev could even reconsider its foreign policy in exchange for financial assistance.

It has to be taken into account hat China possesses the world's largest reserves of foreign currency so Beijing is not entirely unprotected. However, as a result of the global crisis, the Chinese need to avoid potentially destabilizing political consequences derived from unemployment and overall economic slowdown. Some prominent members of Obama's administration intend to at least decrease the American trade deficit by pressuring Beijing to revaluate the Chinese yuan but China obviously is unwilling to artificially restrict its exports. This disagreement must not be underestimated because it could fuel dangerous tensions between both great powers.

It is yet too early to accurately predict the full consequences of the world financial crisis. Nevertheless, it seems that it will spark some unforeseen geopolitical readjustments. The financial system is approaching a most critical turning point and so is the international balance of power.

Dear Members,

I hope you all are aware about the current status of new 7 Wonder selection
process. In 2nd phase all the nominees are categorized in 6 groups. Coxsbazar
recently hold the 1st place in its group. As many people from other countries
may try to know about Coxsbazar, i think they will try their luck in Wikipedia
as Wikipedia is one of the largest and reliable source of information. But
unfortunately, Wikipedia have not that much detailed information regarding
Coxsbazar but they have detailed information regrding The Great Barrier Reaf of
Australi, who hold later position in the group of COxsbazar. So can we include
some more information regarding coxsbazar so that people find this place as
attractive as it is.

I hope we all can help in this situation. Through this support we can possibly
encourage foreigners to vote for Coxsbazar(atleast) and they may visit
Bangladesh.

Regards and Thx.

Its a great news of being Bangladeshi. Sir, pls go ahead. It is an example of
how well some of our private universities are contributing the country. Hope
other universities will try to contribute the country. Public universities
should take more responsibilities in these regards. But unfortunately they are
not doing well. Though there are some exceptions. I think from which place a
student is graduating is not a factor (though it is still a factor today it will
not be in future), the factor is the quality. I think some of the private
universities are trying to achieve their goals and definitely they will be
successful. Is there any goal or vision to our public universities. After 10
years what should be the position of my university? I think very few dedicated
public university teachers are thinking about these factors. But unfortunately
they have not enough power and they are neglected by powerfull(!!) persons so
that they have to give up their
visions and they become traditional one. What will happen to our public
universities if the situation does not improve as it it the time of competition?

They above matters are of my personal opinion. So, hope any one will not be
hearted about my thinking.

detects physical activity in real-time on Windows Mobile devices to another
mobile platform such as Android or Symbian, working with a team of researchers
to develop and test software that detects physical activity in real-time on
mobile phones using wireless sensors, using participatory design techniques to

Virtual Product "Unbox and Share" Application

User scans or enters a barcode on a product in the store with a mobile device
running Android, and can immediately explore the contents of the package via a
video of product unboxing. User can also share a link to the unboxing video and
associated product information to friends and family out of store via SMS. The
content of the SMS share message is a URI which lets the recipient consume the
same unboxing content (browser based, or client install) as well as share it
virally with friends. Once a unbox video is viewed in its entirety, the user is
SMS'd a coupon that they can redeem at checkout (from the phone screen, or by
SMSing it to a specific number at checkout). A tracking code is associated with
the share when it originates in store, and future redemptions can be correlated
to share origination and numbers shared with. Users receiving a product share
can optionally "opt in" to the merchant's mobile loyalty/offers program and
receive future offers via SMS. The actual videos shown are generated by users
via a corresponding web app that offers a youtube like video portal which
encourages submission of UGC videos of product unboxings. When a product is
encountered in store with no videos, users are encouraged to be the first one to
submit an unboxing video for that product. When multiple videos are associated
with a product, the one with the highest ratings is offered by default, and the
user can optionally browse the remaining videos.

Required Skill Set

* Mobile development experience, preferably Android
* Web 2.0 development experience
* Working knowledge of RESTful design
* Specific Technologies: Java, MySQL, Rails

Thank for the good effort. Why dont you look onto the research on the impact of Jamuna Bridge and similar bridges. The impacts mainly related to physical environment, river itself and the human settlement. I request you to keep serching the similar research and funalise your methodology and topic. However, I am confused about your topic because now a day, its a old topic while every people are aware about the impact of construction on the river if you do not have contingenncy for the structure. May be it will prevent child pneumonia and meningitis but
it will certainly cause tumor, cancer, autism, asthma,
diabetics etc as usually most of the vaccines used to cause.

first time, the deadly bacterium Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)
that causes some severe forms of pneumonia and meningitis. In a

Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Professor A.F.M. Ruhul Haque,
along with other health officials and representatives of UN agencies

     combination vaccine to Bangladeshi children.

children die of Hib disease every year. Survivors are often
permanently disabled—paralyzed, deafened or brain damaged. The

and technical support from the GAVI Alliance and its key partners
including UNICEF, WHO and the Hib Initiative.
     >
     >
     >
     >

Middle-East Crisis: Can It Be Solved?

                          (PART-1)
Badrul Islam

The 44th US President, Barack.Hussein 0bama, in his inaugural speech
mentioned that: "We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and
Hindus, and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and
culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have
tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged
from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but
believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of
tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our
common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its
role in ushering in a new era of peace.
To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual
interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who
seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West, know
that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you
destroy.
To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and
the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of
history, but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to
unclench your fist."
The depth of these words, I feel are very refreshing indeed and
ushers in the "Change" from the previous 43rd President's moral
words, "Either you are for us or against us". Congratulations Mr.
President. Credit is also due for selecting Middle-East convoy,
George Mitchell, who according to Los Angeles Times, is no stranger
to conflicts. Mitchell received the Presidential Medal of Freedom
from President Clinton in 1999 for his work on reaching a peace
accord in Northern Ireland. (Ref: latimes.com dated 24/1/2009).
There is no doubt of the good intentions of the President. "Change"
is good; deciding to make change is the easy part, getting people to
do that are the difficult task. Let us analyze.
The same issue of Los Angeles Times mentions that, " In his new role,
Mitchell will once again be working with Tony Blair, who was British
Prime Minister at the time of Good Friday agreement." Why and what is
the necessity when Tony, towards the end of his career became
controversial and unpopular, both at home and abroad due to his part
in creating the turmoil in Iraq.
On Middle East peace, Mr. Obama reiterated his administration's
support for Israel and its security but also suggested Israelis would
have to make some tough choices.
"Ultimately we cannot tell either the Israelis or the Palestinians
what is best for them. They are going to have to make some
decisions," he said.
"But I do believe the moment is ripe for both sides to realize that
the path that they are on is one that is not going to result in
prosperity and security for their people. And that instead, it's time
to return to the negotiating table."(Globalnews24.com dated
January27, 2009).
This sounds more realistic but what, if I may ask, will they do, at
the negotiating table?
Will Mitchell be brave enough to remind the Israelis the fact that
in the 19th century this land of Palestine was inherited by
Multicultural population –approximately 86 percent Muslim,10 percent
Christians and 4 percent Jews—all living in peace? But a group of
Jews in Europe decided to form a Jewish land and they considered
locations in Africa and America before settling on Palestine.
Hitler's rise to power combined with the Zionists activities to
sabotage efforts to place Jewish refugees in western countries, led
to increased Jewish immigration to Palestine and the conflict began.
(Ref:ifamericansknew.org/history)
In 1938 Mohandas.K.Gandhi, widely acclaimed as the worlds most humane
Leader and Statesman, in response to queries on Arab-Jew question in
Palestine and Hitler's persecution of the Jews in Germany, he wrote
an article "Jews & Middle-East: A Non-Violent look at Conflict &
Violence". (Ref:kamat.com/mmgandhi/mideast.htm) Due to space
constraints I highlight the necessary wordings that President of the
US and all other world leaders would sincerely benefit from as a
guideline for permanent peace.
"My sympathies are all with the Jews. I have known them intimately in
South Africa. The parallel between their treatment by Christians and
the treatment of untouchables by Hindus is very close. Religious
sanction has been invoked in both cases for the justification of the
inhuman treatment meted out to them. But my sympathy does not blind
me to the requirements of justice. Why should they not, like other
peoples of the earth, make that country their home where they are
born and where they earn their livelihood? Palestine belongs to the
Arabs in the same sense that England belongs to the English or France
to the French. It is wrong and inhuman to impose the Jews on the
Arabs. What is going on in Palestine today cannot be justified by any
moral code of conduct.
And now a word to the Jews in Palestine. I have no doubt that they
are going about it the wrong way. The Palestine of the Biblical
conception is not geographical tract. It is in their hearts. But if
they must look to the Palestine of geography as their national home,
it is wrong to enter it under the shadow of the British gun. A
religious act cannot be performed with the aid of the bayonet or the
bomb. They can settle in Palestine only by the goodwill of the Arabs.
They should seek to convert the Arab heart. The same God rules the
Arab heart, who rules the Jewish heart. They can offer satyagraha in
front of the Arabs. They will find the world opinion in their favor
in their religious aspiration. There are hundreds of ways of
reasoning with the Arabs, if they will only discard the help of the
British bayonet. As it is, they are co-sharers with the British in
despoiling a people who have done no wrong to them.
I am not defending the Arab excesses. I wish they had chosen the way
of non-violence in resisting what they rightly regarded as an
unwarrantable encroachment upon their country. But according to the
accepted canons of right and wrong, nothing can be said against the
Arab resistance in the face of overwhelming odds.
Let the Jews who claim to be the chosen races prove their title by
choosing the way of non-violence for vindicating their position on
earth. Every country is their home including Palestine, not by
aggression but by loving service. Given the will, the Jews can refuse
to be treated as the outcaste of the West, to be despised or
patronized. He can command the attention and respect of the world by
being man, the chosen creation of God, instead of being man who is
fast sinking to the brute and forsaken by God. They can add to their
many contributions the surpassing contribution of non-violent action."
I feel confident that if Mitchell can place this non-violent action
plan on the "negotiating table", it should enlighten both. warring
parties as it comes from a honorable person who himself was a victim
of the aggressive administrators in South African .
The President concluded his speech with the following words, "Let it
be said by our children's children that when we were tested we
refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we
falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us,
we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely
to future generations"
These words offer confidence that President.0bama could be trusted to
achieve the goal of permanent peace so that children's children of
Israel and Palestine could breathe fresh air and not gun powder and
when an child of Israel meets a child of Palestine the Israeli
child wouldn't say" My father said you hate Jews and plan to kill
us all." In reply the child of Palestine wouldn't have to reply "I
don't know about that; my father was killed by an Israeli soldier.

Dear All:
I am supplying my comments with a few pieces of information that are relevant.

There is no new knowledge.
We start gathering knowledge right after our birth and the brain continually registers them until we die.
80% of all the PHD theisis contain garbage.  College professors, GURUS, MULLAHS have climed positions of special powers to evaluate the works of the studnets who mostly steal previous works and just stretch the information a bit.
Ask any Engineering Student, if he ever used a Mother Copy of a LAB EXPERIMENT.
I can not claim that I have contributed anything new. I collect data from Television, Internet, Books, Newspapers etc. and use them to form my opinion and that opinion could be faulty.
Most faulty opinions are formed by studying spiritual books - Hindu, Muslim, Buddhists, Christians, Communists all included.

Collecting historical information and packaging them with a little bit of chutney here and there do not make any book UNIQUE. That includes the kind of books of Great Favorite of the Bengalis all over the world Amartya Sen.

Only Poets have vision that are UNCOMMON and UNIQUE. That is why they are visionary.

I have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, from Jadavpur, Masters from Imperial College and I have studied MBA in USA never finished.  I DELARE THAT I HAVE NO NEW KNOWLEDGE. I have used other peoples writings and utterences and packaged them this far to carry on in the world.

None of us are like Newton, Einstein, DeCartes or Euler.  Even they were humble.

Subject: [bdresearchers] Beware of false intellectuals plagiarizing The India Doctrine (1947-2007)

To avoid plagiarism as just described you must give credit whenever
you use

• another person's idea, opinion, or theory;
• any facts, statistics, graphs, drawings—any pieces of
information—that are not common knowledge;

£27,183 - £31,513

circulation date : 26/02/2009

closing date : 19/03/2009

This post is funded by the BBSRC and is aimed at investigating the role of a Drosophila exonuclease homologous to human WRN, a gene implicated in the premature human ageing condition Werner's syndrome. Loss of function of WRN, which encodes a dual exonuclease/helicase, leads to pleiotropic effects including increased genomic instability, which may arise from illegitimate recombination at stalled replication forks.

This exciting project is a collaboration between the laboratories of Dr Robert Saunders (Department of Life Sciences, The Open University) and Dr Lynne Cox (Department of Biochemistry, University of Oxford). You will have a strong enthusiasm for research and the temperament to work both independently and as part of a group. Extensive collaboration between the two groups is an integral part of the project and the post-doctoral scientist appointed would be expected to engage actively in collaborative exchanges.

Closing date: mid-day 19 March 2009. Interview date: 27 March 2009.
