Hi everyone,
Thanks to all who made it out to Parramatta on Wednesday for our
Westie Meetup - it was a fun night as always, and it was great to put
more faces to names! We had a huuuuuge pile of books, with coffees and
wedges and nachos somehow managing to fit (read: balance) on the table
as well.
The next Westie Meetup will be on Saturday 28th May. Got any
suggestions for venues? Email your ideas to sabavana@... and it
will go to the Poll.
Saturday Meetups are kid-friendly (ie. no pubs), so please keep that

With most people shying away from a drive in the winter country
atmosphere, in June, There will be a Picton Meetup in MAy as arranged,
another in July (NO JUNE!!) and we will think about a Robertson Meetup
in August when the weather may have improved and petrol (Hopefully
will be cheaper)
SO I urge you guys when you are heading South that you do make the
diversion to the Robertson OBCZ it has the biggest range of BC books
you will ever see, and the coffe is not bad either. LMK if youwil be
there or near Picton and I will try to meet at either location.
OK Now for Picton's MAY meetup.....
Yvonne
The following bcsydmeetup poll is now closed. Here are the
final results:
POLL QUESTION: As Robertson is far far away but has the Biggest bookshelf
of BC books, should there be a june Robertson Meetup or just
the May and July Picton Ones?? IF we are to have a Robertson
one, do you want a lift?
CHOICES AND RESULTS
- Yes I love a drive in the country to get free books., 1 votes, 14.29%
- Too far with the current price of petrol. Just have the Picton ones., 3 votes,

Hi all
Claire (littlemave) has suggested the newly opened:
Apostrophe's Books & Cafe
418 Crown St Surry Hills 2010
As a venue during the cooler winter months
I just gave them a call and they said that:
1. they are BYO alcohol
2. they sell muffins, pastries, and other such snacks
3. They would charge $20/hour as they are normally open only
during retail business hours, and for this we would get the
place to ourselves from 7pm-9pm for $40 total group fee.
So do you think I should add it to the list for possible
Sydney CBD venues?
