bchva.org consists of Back Country Horsemen in Virginia and West Virginia. We are members of Back Country Horsemen of America and our main purpose is to keep all trails open for equine use on public land in Virginia and West Virginia. This land includes the George Washington/Jefferson National Forest in VA and WV, Monongahela National Forest in WV and Shenandoah National Park. Our Parks and Forests are the closest public back country to the Nation's Capital. We want them to be models of national equine policy.
