We are centrally located to various Black Hills trail systems including the Centennial and Mickelson Trails. We have access to trails to Mt Rushmore and Harney Peak. There are miles of trails available for horse back riding and hiking. We are located midway between Hill City and Keystone, SD. Our horse camp is an open pasture area with a few trees. We have a beautiful view to the south looking into Norbeck and Black Elk Wilderness areas and a great view of Elk Horn Mountain. The 1880 train runs close by. We are a primitive camp. No electric hookups but generators are welcome. Our shower house receives rave reviews from all who stay with us. Our goal is to provide the best horse camping experience to our guests (people and horses!!). Lots of photos - have a look.
During the week of the Sturgis Bike Rally, we are closed to horse camping but open for "hog" camping. See Link for Hog Camp Group.
Friend suggested I check out your site and I decided to join and see what kind of fun you are having. Sure hope to come to SD and ride this summer! Michelle
