Having problems with message search?
I just spoke with Rose Landis, Dan's surgery went well and they were able to install the LVAD in Dan's Heart. The LVAD is now pumping instead of Dan's heart and Rose reports that as a result Dan has no more pulse or heartbeat, just a whirring sound. The doctors are now calling him stable for the first time since the heart attack, but as Rose reports there is a LONG way to go yet.
Please pray: That Dan's brain would get used to the LVAD, that they would be able to wean him off the ventilator and sedation (he's been asleep since 6/23), that his brain would "learn" to breathe again quickly. The last request is rather difficult, because of course for Dan to get a new heart, someone else has to die, but it occurs to me that there is a strong analogy there for the miracle of salvation. In order for you and I to get a new heart, not just someone, but the Son of God Himself, had to die. May we all learn by this never to treat salvation lightly!
