BayCHI is the local San Francisco Bay Area chapter of ACM SIGCHI. This Birds-Of-a-Feather (BOF) group provides an opportunity for Bay Area consultants to come together to discuss issues, trends, and the evolving skills required to consult in the area of human-computer interaction. Meetings are every other month, and consist of social events as well as more formal meetings featuring speakers or discussions about special topics. Students and professionals who are interested in learning about becoming a consultant are welcome to participate.
The Consultant BOF email list provides a central means for Bay Area consultants to exchange consulting job leads. The list also enables consultants to find others to team up with when a job requires multiple kinds of skills or when the work is beyond the scope of one individual.
Although BayCHI membershipis encouraged, it is not a requirement for participation in BayCHI BOFs. Meetings are free and open to the public.
