This group was created to provide support/information/networking for mothers who have lost custody to a batterer or are facing custodial challenges due to: an abusive ex-partner who gained/challenged custody through allegations of PAS and MSBP; court "experts" pathologizing a mother's anxiety about her children's safety; limited monetary resources; "friendly parent" leanings; gender bias, etc.

BATMCC leadership reserves the right to moderate, ban, or reject any member at any time. We do not tolerate aggressive/argumentative posts, flaming on ANY topic, accusations, or attacks on individuals or their ideas, gossip or posts discussing individuals, or using the group for chatty or personal matters. Dispersion of documents and projects organized through the group must be approved by all moderators before discussion begins.

In keeping with recognized, valid research on batterer's use of courts to further abuse and terrorize their victims, we will not entertain advocacy or arguments about PAS, MSBP, "father's rights", or mandatory shared parenting. We take this stance not because we are "feminazis", "rabid feminists", anti-men, or anti-father, but because such labels, diagnoses, & ideologies are used almost exclusively by batterers and their agents in custody disputes to vilify mothers in order to gain custody of their child victims.

Members violating these guidelines will be given one warning; upon the second infraction, the offending member will be immediately placed on moderated status. A third infraction may result in the offending member being banned from BATMCC.
