They are not expiring just yet - the RSGB had discussions with Ofcom who agreed to make make them 6 year licences ! So the 60,000 odd issued in December 2006

Lifetime Licences are Expiring
Folks something that cropped up on the Tutors' Reflector, and I found to my surprise when I looked at my own Licence a couple of weeks ago - it is now over 5
