Please consider joining our effort to protect and restore Bassett Creek located in Hennepin County, Minnesota. This email listserve is one of our main methods of communication. The Friends of Bassett's Creek is a small informal group of citizens concerned with issues related to the environmental quality of Bassett Creek. We are proud to be protectors of, and advocates for, Bassett's Creek, which flows for 13 miles from Medicine Lake to the Mississippi River.

We work for the reduction of runoff, industrial, and commercial pollution in the watershed, which ultimately flows into Bassett's Creek, the Mississippi river, and then the Gulf of Mexico. As is feasible, we work for the restoration of original natural creek features, such as meanderings, adjacent wetlands, adjacent floodplains, adjacent native plants. We also work for greater appreciation of Bassett's Creek with efforts to improve and increase adjacent public parkland corridors, and adjacent public walking and bicycling trails.
