Description

This is a discussion group for lovers of the genus Banksia and the closely allied dryandras, marvellous plants of the family proteaceae (If you're here you're probably already an enthusiast), how to grow them, look at issues (wish list: grafting WA banksias and/or dryandras, cure for phytophthora) banksias as bonsai, or any other new developments, the idea being to add to the rather general knowledge base about cultivating these wonderful australian plants for gardens everywhere.

For more information on Banksias, Dryandras and other Australian Plants, please consider joining the Australian Plants Society (NSW, Vic, Tas, SA), AKA SGAP (Qld, Canberra), or Wildflower Society of Western Australia - 7 regional groups which make up the Association Of Societies for Growing Australian Plants (ASGAP). There is a Banksia study group worth joining within the organisation as well. A years' subscription is $10 AUD - send a cheque to: Banksia Study Group Leader PO Box 83 St Pauls' NSW 2031 There is also a Dryandra Study Group - a years' subscription is $8 ($10 O/S) - send to 16 Calpin Cres, Attadale WA 6156
