Enjoy discussing books, but not up for the structure of a traditional book group? Looking for a way to be introduced to new authors and genres, and meet other avid readers? Want to share a book you enjoyed...or maybe one that you didn't?! Then Bangkok BookCrossers may just be for you!

The Bangkok BookCrossers group holds regular informal gatherings for swapping and discussing English-language books. We were inspired by the concept of BookCrossing (if this is new for you, please take a look at www.bookcrossing.com). Anyone who loves to read and share books is welcome to join in -- it's free, fun and easy.

We are currently meeting twice a month:

1) We meet on the first MONDAY of each month at 6:30 pm at Bert's, a cafe on the ground floor of the Zen department store at Central World.

The next evening meeting:
~*Monday, 9 November 2009 (POSTPONED from the 2nd due to Loi Krathong!)

Directions: Take the BTS to Chidlom Station and follow the skywalk to the first Central World exit. Instead of taking the escalator directly into Central World, go down the stairs and walk 30-40 m along the Central World plaza until you reach the direct entrance to the cafe (which is marked by a purple sign). If you are coming from within the mall, look for Bert's on the left as you enter the ground floor of Zen (in the cosmetics section).

2) We also meet at 10.30 am on a SATURDAY roughly mid-way between the monthly Monday evenings (usually around the 3rd Saturday of the month). This meeting is held at the Starbucks on Soi Langsuan.

Directions: Take the BTS to Chidlom Station, and follow exit 4 to the street level. Make a U-turn back to Soi Langsuan, turn left, and walk 5-7 minutes (towards Silom).
