This groups' aim is to get people who are interested in Iron Age and Medieval-era Baltic clothing together.
The Baltic countries include Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Karelia and Finland.
Our time period spans from the Northern Iron Age (c. 3,000 BCE- 1,000 CE) until the end of the Livonian war at the end of the 16th century.
Our interests range from the clothing of the elite class, to the peasantry and everything in between. Also, jewelry, headwear, foodwear, and accessories are also discussed.
If you think there is something else on topic we could discuss, (like armour) please join and become our expert on something new!
