Baltimore Attachment Parenting (abbreviated BaltAP) is a group for parents living in Baltimore, Maryland and surrounding areas who share an interest in attachment parenting. The primary goal of attachment parenting is to develop and nurture strong and loving bonds between parents and their children. Areas that are key to forming these connections are summarized in Attachment Parenting International's (API) Eight Principles of Parenting:

2. Feed with Love and Respect
3. Respond with Sensitivity
4. Use Nurturing Touch

Anyone practicing one or more of the principles or simply interested in learning more about attachment parenting is welcome to join. We are a friendly, supportive group of parents who share advice, concerns, and thoughts on parenting and family life (including natural parenting topics). In addition to online discussions, we also meet in real life so children can play and the adults can enjoy conversation and support. We currently have several weekly playgroups that meet at various locations around town.


No flaming or solicitation is tolerated. This is a diverse group for support and discussion only. Members are encouraged to post a short introduction about themselves and their family upon joining.
