Hi all,

on wednesday night a bunch of us from frankfurt jr & sr high went to
the hollywood entertainment museum for a special screening of the
documentary by donna musil, "Brats, Our Journey Home". (chris
horak is the curator of the museum, & went to school w/us in ffm)
it was very good and very powerful. i think all of us had tears in
our eyes at certain points, and were choked up at other points.

it was narrated by kris kristofferson, who is an air force brat. he
also did the songs for it. norman schwarzkopf was interviewed
several times in it, too (he went to fahs). and then there were
lots of interviews, film clips, etc, of lot of other army/air
force/marine brats. (no navy juniors, that i noticed, nor coast
guard)

after the screening there was a reception w/donna and some of the
producers, etc, of the film. it was a nice little cocktail party
reminiscent of the cocktail parties our parents would have back in
the 50s and 60s. we were also given a dvd of the film and a poster
and a pin. i have already started to watch the film again at home.

o, and lots of photos of kaiserslautern, heidelberg, afn munich,
etc....no frankfurt! o well.

if you get a chance to see this film, i think it will be worth your
while. i know it was worth mine.
