Documenting and discussing censorship and suppression of free speech and conscience within the Haifan Baha'i Faith.

Rather than a general discussion group, bahaicensorship is a forum for serious discussion of the issues of free speech and conscience and their abuse within and without the bahai faith and administration.

Slander and insinuations intended by my fellow bahais to discredit and malign others are beyond the pale, e.g., accusations of being covenant breakers, out of line with the uhj's interpretations, or what someone thinks is their interpretation, and so on.

Abdu'l-Baha, in The Promulgation of Universal Peace (197), articulates the standard this group attempts to emmulate: "When freedom of conscience, liberty of thought and right of speech prevail--that is to say, when every man according to his own idealization may give expression to his beliefs--development and growth are inevitable."

Anyone slandering and maligning others, or with a history of such fanaticism, will be barred from this group. Messages posted to bahaicensorship may not be forwarded to administrative tyrants and inquisitors, nor should they join under false identities, moles, etc. "Hikmat" is also unacceptable.

This discussion forum is for people of *goodwill* interested in exploring Bahai Censorship or just curious. The use of pseudonyms is recommended.

Bahai Censorship is closed to members of the Haifan Baha'i Faith and other denominations. Monitoring and/or reporting to other Bahai denominations about who and what is being said here is prohibited. All forms of hikmat, takfir, and taqqiya, so-called wisdom, identifying infidels, and dissimulation, are barred from this forum. No one with such intentions should join; anyone current should unsubscribed.
