Graduate students from UPR at Mayaguez, took the initiative to establish the association of graduate students to enhance their opportunities of a better academic career. BAGSA, Business Administration Graduate Student Association, is a non-profit association established to promote excellence on the academic and professional carrer of students pursuing a MBA at Mayaguez Campus. Being a member of BAGSA gives you the opportunity to strengthen your academic career and enhance your future as a professional. BAGSA will give you access to top business and educational leaders through conferences and its partnership with the National Society of Hispanic MBA. This is a society whose mission is to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development in order to improve society. San Juan was sanctioned as a chapter at the 1994 national conference in Houston, Texas. They want to to work with students and universities in order to increase the enrollment of PR in graduate management programs, assist corporations and other business organizations in the recruitment, development and promotion of Puerto Rican business professional and organize as well as participate in networking and community events to provide Puerto Rican professional with opportunities for career growth, leadership development and entrepreneurship as a model of excellence.
