Re: [backtotheroot] OVF Ghana Community WIRELESS NETWORK TRAINING Day 3 Progress Report

Thank you Jeff for such a report.  It demonstrates a leadership in all the sense of the word net-work.  Net-working as you report, makes it that anything gross about working vanishes to make way for the possibility of complete recovery for dignity's cultivation, and stimulates the potential of restoration for personal and communal development.
This is that kind of report that I can "show and tell about out loud" with a great, confident smile rooted in the simplicity of deep truth's emergence.
Thank you jeff and all who are moving along to contribute and to collaborate.  The sweet fragrance of such a picture in motion reaches all the way north, straight into my nose in Canada, and causes inspiration for the spirit, delight for the heart, refreshment for the soul and strength for the body.

From net-working arises the community.

Such sanctity in motion is the process of sanctification by which and to which God calls us all, for this is where unity lives and where unity lives, there is God's glory, rooted in the ground where the comfort and the wealth of intimacy live, driving humanity into the assembling of the parts with the whole, each rooted within the simplicity of personal worship, praise and thanksgiving, whatever expression this may take personally and communally, so long as love and authenticity live on in action and in truth.
Here is a quote of mine which someone else decided to call a "nugget" along others at:
“Community is the state. Network is the dynamic of the community. Therefore, the community cannot exist if it is not common-unity = community. The network is the energy of the bond of trust and care. The community is the recipient and container of such energy, converting this energy into innovation and dedication, to prepare the present to adapt for the future. "Together" is the reason for community to exist, networking is the activity of a living community.”

Thank you Jeff for having inspired my path into such nugget production, along with Janet, Pam, Maria, Andrius, Chris, Franz, Helen, Fred, Samwel...and then to go on as one, multiplying such drive in the focus that reveals how net-working and to spontaneously be relating within the frameworks of  complete relevancy are synonymous.
There lies the essence of communion, without which there cannot be any community.
As a result, Minciu Sodas and all of the groups are becoming a genuine community no matter where one is from, ready for the establishment and deployment of communities' net-workings, radiating to the extremities of the earth with a pulse that swallows militancy and  converts it into settlement camps of maturity cultivation and training ...

Much to look forward to...
Benoit

Dear All,

Below is a summary of recent developments in Ghana. For the HTML version
please go here: http://blog.onevillage.tv/wp/?p=412.

-------------------------

Overview: The OVF Ghana team has been focused on organizing the first
major ICT training workshop at the Winneba Open Digital Village (WODiV)
(Aug 1-10). A highlight of this event is that the workshoppers are
actually building the network as they participate in this workshop. This
is the first in what we hope will be an ongoing series of emerging
technology sessions dubbed the "Simpa Open Summits" (SOS).

Progress Report: OVF Ghana Director Kafui Prebbie Reports from Ghana
that so far the event is a success with 26 workshop attendees
participating in what may be the first wireless workshop in Ghana.
-1. Day 1 was a success with 26 students enrolling and various
introductions of VIPs including the CEO of Arrow Networks and
representatives from the University of Education Winneba Ghana.
-2. Equipments have been successfully picked up by our team today from
the Tema post office.
-3. A video Skype session next week with the team at DIIRWB providing
instructions on how to build a bi-quad antennae with directions and
support from DIIRWB staff. This session will give participants first
hand information and access to experienced trainers in the wireless
field.

About the Network: A local wireless network within Winneba is now being
set up using the workshop as a way to build momentum for this effort.
The goal is to develop an economically sustainable low cost Internet
solution that can be replicated elsewhere. For the workshop, a temporary
long distance wireless network was set up working with Arrow Networks
which has also generously assisted in the training workshop. Plans are
in place to use the University of Education's VSAT connection and an
antennae is being set up for this purpose.

Thanks to those whose Contributions helped make this event possible:
. Vic Hayes made a generous donation to the effort, offered many useful
insights and has also helped with the fundraising and promotional
effort;
. Bjarke Nelson and the Djurslands wireless network (DIIRWB) in rural
Denmark) for providing much needed technical assistance and also a
shipment of wireless gear;
. Marco Pompe of Frefunk Berlin is in Ghana to help with the
organizational and logistics set up;
. Prof Gideon Chonia of the University of Zurich, Switzerland for
logistical help and advice;
. Arrow Networks for providing training and technical assistance.

Workshop Partners:
. oneVillage Foundation-Ghana (OVF-Ghana)
. University of Education, Winneba
. Ghana Information Network for knowledge Sharing (GINKS)
. Wireless Ghana (WG)
. International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD)
