This list is for families who go above the typical
norm in dedication to their families. They often
see value in doing things the way it used to be
done. These families sometimes spend time doing
things the "hard" way because they believe easier
is not always better. Their goals are to achieve
what is ultimately in their families best
interest, not what is ultimately easiest. Some
families do so to stretch their funds. Back to
basic families have a tendency to be
self-sufficient. Some believe it is the ultimate
and God given way to bring up children. Some are
homesteading families and some are hoping to move
closer to homesteading. Some ideas of back to
basic families are those who homeschool, are
considering homeschooling, use alternative
medicine or herbs, dehydrate foods, freeze foods,
can foods, garden, use cloth diapers, make baby
food from scratch, cook from scratch, bake from
scratch. Some have extenuating medical situations
or tend to family members without much outside
support, if at all, because they believe it is in
the best interest of their family member. Some
home church. As a general rule, they enjoy being
crafty, enjoy family projects, sewing, etc. They
are often families who are looked at as being
different or unusual when in fact, they have major
dedications to their families. These are often
large families or couples who desire large
families. These are examples and not a list
complete. There are all sort of variations on
this theme. Religious subjects are to be expected
on a list such as this and are welcome. Please
join the list if you fit the above description or
hope to achieve some of the above mentioned. We
can share ideas and strategies, exchange canning
recipies, how we manage extens
