Azerbaijan National Coalition is a part of Global Call to Actions Against Poverty (GCAP), the worldwide alliance which brands itself as “a call to every concerned individual and organization in the world to join the biggest mass mobilization against poverty. We are a unique worldwide alliance of hundreds of organizations representing millions of people (from grassroots movements and up). The organisations comprise trade unions, women’s groups, non-governmental organisations and faith groups, spanning every culture across the world. This scale and diversity gives us strength to make significant change.”

GCAP is targeting all governments – developed and developing, and pressing world leaders to take concrete actions to eliminate poverty in three main areas, Trade Justice, a major increase in quantity and quality of aid, debt cancellation and for national efforts to eliminate poverty and reach the Millennium Goals that are developed and implemented in a way that is democratic, transparent and accountable to citizens.
