he film sounds great, I didn't realise that
Steve had also written the script and he's back with
Frank Oz - should be good.

I noticed on IMDB
site that they mentioned a TV series called 'Scene by
scene with Steve Martin', has anyone got any info on
that?
k, so the Out of towners is openning in a week
here in the USA. Also opening that week is EDTV A film
which Steve has a small part in.

I'll be posting
some info on the Eddie Murphy film soon.

Oh,
and i'll make sure to add you to my pager
list.

Mongo
ep I know what you're talking about. The Out Of
Towners, Steve's new film with Goldie Hawn. To be honest
I'd almost forgotten about it, I seemed to have haerd
about it such a long time ago and it STILL hasn't be
released. Do you know it's USA release date? Another
upcoming prospect is the film he's doing with Eddie
Murphy. Anyone have more news on this? By the way Mongo
I've managed to get this bloody Pager thing to work
now so we'll have a chat sometime.
he price of the book is 9.99 and it was released
in this country on the 20 something of February [ I
can't remember the specifics] and it is distributed by
penguin. You should be able to find it in any book chart
in the country. Theres also a review of it in
last/this weeks heat magazine. I'm really surprised you've
missed this one, not like you!
as for the other book
no luck I'm afraid, looks like a specialist job.
he answer to your question is yes it is
available NOW in the uk. I saw it in the Virgin Megastore
just two days ago and it has a nice green/blue cover
with the main man on the front, all of him not just
his face.
I can find out more if you want. Price
maybe?
'm looking for the Steve Martin book Cuel Shoes.
Can anybody help? It was published in the early 80's
and has been deleted a long time, if anybody can get
a copy I will pay a good price. Please let me know.
eah, I've read it! It's called "Pure Drivel" (Spelling might be wrong.....) and
i must say that it is GREAT! Now the next question, WHERE CAN I FIND A COPY OF
HIS LAST BOOK?
here is a James Spader club on Yahoo, it's
called Steff's Hideout and I was a member there for a
while but it was all ladies gushing over his good looks
and saying how they'd like to be with him etc, etc.
Join it and let me know if it's got any better.
k so i'm sorry for talking about james in this
club but there isn't one for him and he deserves one,
besides steve martin is no where near as good looking but
he is funnier.
I'll leave you guys to talk
serious stuff.
If any one of you wants to start a
james spader club you know you'll have at least one
member.
bye
eing a redblooded male I can't see the
facination myself, but I like him cos he's probably the
finest character actor of his generation, although I
understand quite a few ladies like him. I thought this was a
Steve Martin club.... glad to se we've got a few new
members - feel free to post messages.
ames is not only a cool actor but handsome
aswell
but I guess you lot wouldn't be interested in that
now would you?
Pretty in Pink is one of my
favourite films ever and the soundtrack is just as great.
AL VHS is the type of video system we have in
the UK. In the USA they have NTSC. It's not the same.
I can't play NTSC video tapes on my video machine.
Although I do have a Laserdisc player and I can play NTSC
Laserdiscs on it, so if you could find a Laserdisc of Sgt
Pepper please let me know.
agree James Spader is certainly one of the best
actors of his generation. And he's definitely underated.
I have all his movies on video and I'm a huge fan.
Going back top Sgt Pepper, I've seen the clip of him
singing Maxwell's Silver Hammer but I've never seen the
whole film. I've been trying to get a copy for ages as
it's the only Steve Martin film I've not got - but
it's been deleted in the UK and hasn't been shown on
TV. If you know where I could get a PAL VHS copy I'd
really appreciate it.
'd have to go with The Jerk, I guess. But, I
also liked Sgt. Bilko and Three
Amingos.

Oh, and I'm also one of the VERY few people who liked
Steve in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club band.
o my favourite Steve Martin film, that's a hard
one. There are so many I like for difference reasons,
absolute favourites include All Of Me, Roxanne, Man With
Two Brains but I suppose because it's very similar to
his stage performances I would have to go for The
Jerk. What about you?
