"They go from strength to strength."That is, they grow stronger and stronger. Generally, if we are walking, we go from strength to weakness; we start refreshed and organized for our journey, but after a while the road is harsh, and the sun is intense, we sit down by the edge, and then again painfully pursue our dishearten path.
Nevertheless the Christian wanderer gaining acquired fresh supplies of grace is as spirited after years of overstressed travel and struggle as when he first began. He may not be extremely thrilled and upbeat, nor perhaps quite so fervent and swift in his passion as he once was, but he is much stronger in all that constitutes real power, and continues on, if more gradually, considerably more with assurance.
"The youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint."
Worried spirits sit down and trouble themselves about the future. "Alas!" say they, "we go from affliction to affliction." True-true, O thou of little faith, but then thou goest from strength to strength moreover. God will give the strength of seasoned manhood with the burden prearranged to matured shoulders.

...a better way to give a different kind of reception.
