Animal Welfare Awareness Research in Egypt was created 14 September 2007. The group was formed of various animal organizations in Egypt after a meeting with WSPA in Cairo the same day upon the advice of Dr. Nick De Souza to keep track and discuss the next achievable goal . The purpose of forming this group is to circulate and discuss the possible achievable goals in relation to animal rights protection in Egypt.

This is a safe place where we welcome ideas and experiences from welfare to abolitionism and all that's in between - we are all here for the animals. Whether or not we agree with someones strategy we can still help one another through positive suggestions and constructive feedback.

From leafleting to changing legislation, or even simply giving a motivating comment, we are here to guide and support each other the best way we can, for the animals.

We realize that creating an effective strategy is important, but putting it into ACTION is what ultimately leads to CHANGE. Think of this as a meeting zone where we can state our questions and needs and then talk discreetly elsewhere with the purpose of accomplishing goals.

So feel free to talk here, just keep in mind that we are serious about getting things done. This is NOT a place for lounging and passing time, first and foremost it's a PRODUCTIVE environment!

- Rumors/negativity about other members/groups.
- The group description is not followed.
- A general unproductive attitude towards animal rights/welfare.
- Any reason two or more moderators feel this group is not for you.
