This is a discussion group for people in the Austin and surrounding area who are homeschooling gifted children.

This list is intended to serve the following purposes:

* Allow parents of the gifted to share stories, thoughts, insights, suggestions, questions, and more about homeschooling a gifted child.

* Provide a venue to organize meetings in person so that homeschooled gifted children in this area can meet other children who are like them.

* Serve as a discussion board for those who are curious about homeschooling their own gifted child.

Though there will surely be a lot of dicussion, and some of it off-topic, we ask that you please be polite, above all else. No flaming or insulting is allowed. In discussions, please make statements mostly about what you believe, and try not to characterize others who are different from you.
