Welcome to the aus_rail_ops group

The Australian Railways Operations (Aus_Rail_Ops) special interest group's (SIG) aim is to find, preserve, record and make available to interested modellers information about the way that railways operate in Australia. This information may be railway paper, such as books, manuals, working timetables, etc, or annecdotal stories about the work done by former and present railway staff.

Information uncovered may be:
- Train and Staff operating practices and procedures,
- Freight Customer operating practices and procedures,
- Safeworking and Signalling, and
- Whatever else we can find out and that members of this list are interested in.

I am looking forward to the information that we uncover, and the interaction that we will have on this list.
