The main purpose of A2 is to provide an open forum for discussions and information. Our secondary purpose is to be entertaining and fun. Our tertiary purpose is to mercilessly ridicule those who don't agree with us .... well, not really though it sometimes feels that way. Also, that order of preference is fairly volatile so "your mileage may vary".

Our perspectives tend to be somewhere within a 50 light-year orbit of the metaphysical reality, the epistemological rationality, the ethical self-interest and self-responsibility, and the political freedom often found in the works of authors Ayn Rand, Nathaniel Branden, Murray Rothbard, Ludwig Von Mises, F.A. Hayek, etc.

There are few things that the bulk of A2 members find cause to agree upon --- and even then we often don't agree just to be ornery. Wit, humor, a finely-honed argument or two, a dully-honed argument or three, good friends, bitter enemies, bitter friends, good enemies (often within the space of a couple of paragraphs) are to be found within. A more diverse cast of characters you won't find anywhere else.
