SmartHorary is specifically designed for horary astrology.  It casts a chart and
gives general information, such as a list of past and applying lunar aspects,
the absolute last major lunar aspect, translation of light, planets in mutual
reception, planets in parallel, combust the sun, under the sunbeams, via the
combust way, etc.

It also features a programmable function that allows one to program in planetary
combinations.

For example, M. Goldstein Jacobson gives this definition for the following
formula: "If the ruler of the first is in the 10th well aspected to Venus or
Jupiter or the ruler of the 10th or the Part Of Fortune, he is in an enviably
high position and well paid." I programmed this in, did a search, and got
questions pertaining to the following people: Steve McNair, Michael Jackson, Dr.
Phil, and two successful businessmen who were missing (one presumed kidnapped).
It's really quite fascinating.

SmartHorary looks up all rulers and co-rulers, including intercepted signs when
running formulas against a ruler of a house. A chart is presented with all major
aspects. The absolute last major dynamic lunar aspect is given. I have found on
a number of occasions where a planet retrograded back to another sign and the
last lunar aspect was to that planet which is not obvious on the original chart.
It also gives planets that moved out of sign before the moon could aspect.

You can turn the wheel to any house and all rulers will be changed accordingly,
which comes in handy, especially for questions of the undesignated ruler 7th
house.

SmartHorary also is hard-coded to answer questions according to horary rules for
"where is the missing article" and "where is the missing person."

It's useful for programming all the rules of one's favorite horary book in one
app that can check the rules against every chart.

The color of the afflictions and harmonious aspects on the wheel is
user-selectable.

Yesterday, I noticed the garage door opener was not where it usually was and
decided to cast a chart to help me find it.  Time:  Sept. 22, 2009, 6:26p, DST
in force, Sunnyvale, CA, 16.14 Pisces Rising.

The ruler of the 2nd, Mars, was in the 5th.  Usually I go to the garage where
there's a  stairstepper and get some exercise in while watching a DVD.  It's the
only time during the day I put my full attention on a program and this one was
been rather enjoyable ("The Real Wives of Orange Country").  So perhaps Mars in
the 5th points to the recreation I have during exercise time.  But Mars is in
mutual reception with the Moon, which means it has moved.  I had to get the
neighbor who shares the garage with us to open it up so I could check.  I
thought maybe I forgot to pick it up since the neighbor had been recently
rummaging through the garage and left it to her to close the garage door. 
Anyway, it wasn't in the garage.

When planets are in mutual reception, it means the article has been moved. 
That's rather worrying to me because it implies someone else may have it.  I
asked my roommate if he had it and he didn't.  Of course I looked all over the
residence and I couldn't find it.

When the ruler of the 2nd is in a succeedant house, the missing article is not
in the home, but it's not far from it.  Therefore, the garage door opener was
definitely not in the home.  In mutual reception, Mars lands in the 8th house. 
So it occurred to me the only place it could be is in the garage.  I have found
missing items before in the garage when the ruler of the 2nd was in the 8th.

In mutual reception, you're supposed to take the planet's degree and simply
change the sign.  That would put Mars 17 in Scorpio in the 8th.  It was still
far enough away from the 9th house.  This is important because once the 2nd
house ruler is in the 9th house, it's gone.  It's in the hands of strangers. 
However, Mars was coming close to the cusp of the 9th and mutual reception
planet Moon was just outside of the 9th cusp, which could be interpreted as
possibly winding up in the hands of strangers.

I thought what situation would fulfill all these facts?  The article is not in
the house, it's been moved, and it's in an 8th house location.  After thinking
about it for a while it occurred to me that I moved the garbage cans to the
front for garbage pick up tomorrow.  If the article was in the garbage, that
would fulfill the mutual reception moving requirements.  Garbage is under the
jurisdiction of the 8th house.  And the garbage cans are outside of the house,
thereby fulfilling the article not being in the house.  On top of that, after
tomorrow, the garbage would be in the hands of strangers.

I made a made dash to move the garbage cans back.  It was too dark to go
riffling through the containers, so I waited until morning.  I prayed some good
Sumeritan neighbor wouldn't find the containers back there and move them to the
front thinking he was doing me a favor.

I could hear the garbage collectors noisily taking the garbage early in the
morning.  It didn't take me long that day to locate the garage door opener in
one the trash bags.  And I've got Astrology to thank because it would have been
gone for good if I wasn't obsessed with solving this chart the night before.
