IDRM stands for International Disability Rights Monitoring.
The Asia-Pacific IDRM team is a group of people with disabilities (PWDs) in Asia and the Pacific, and PWD supporters from the region and the international community, organized to help promote and protect the universal rights of PWDs in the region. It's a team of the Disabled Peoples International (DPI) under the leadership of the World Council Chairperson, Ms. Venus Ilagan, with the support of the Center for International Rehabilitation (CIR) based in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
The specific task of the regional team is to work together to achieve the set goals and objectives of the IDRM project. This virtual space has been created as ONE avenue for everyone to help each other in attaining the purpose of the IDRM project, in support of the vision and mission of the DPI.
For this e-group, the moderator is Ines M. Basaen, the IDRM project Coordinator for Asia and the Pacific.
