Asha for Education is an organization dedicated to bring about socio-economic change in India. In pursuit of this goal, Asha focuses on basic education in believing that education is a primary requisite for socio-economic change. In keeping with this philosophy, our volunteers get involved with and support projects which have an education related component. The objectives of this group are:

1. Provide education to underprivileged children in India.
2. Raise the required human and financial resources to achieve the group’s objectives.
3. Provide opportunity to individuals based in Munich and surrounding areas who wish to participate in Asha’s activities in India.
4. Encourage the formation of various local groups, both in India and Munich (and surrounding areas of Munich).
5. Support and cooperate with persons and groups already engaged in similar activities.
6. Address, whenever possible, other issues affecting society such as health care, women’s and environment issues.
